Overall Satisfaction with Conductor Searchlight
Our marketing department uses Conductor for our DIY side of the business. My team researches content ideas and tracks keywords through the platform. We also pull analytics from the platform and utilize the dashboards and automated reporting emails. We also have a lot of existing content that we have been working to optimize with the help of the platform. Other teams use the platform for competitor analysis.
Pros
- Audience Intent Explorer: we can view topic suggestions in order to create better content.
- Recommendations: the platform suggests edits that can be made to existing articles for improved ranking.
- Reporting: I choose to have Content Ideas emailed to me each week. It is simple to set up.
Cons
- Social media: it would be interesting to see integration with facebook, instagram and twitter.
- Keywords: it would be nice to automatically track keywords on both mobile and desktop without having to double up on the amount of keywords that you are tracking/being charged for.
- Keyword tracking: tracking changes are only refreshed once a week.
- Improved search ranking.
- Increased integration into Google answer boxes.
- Better reporting capabilities.
Quality and quantity are very important. We have several departments within our corporate office which utilize this tool. It is a daily tool for us when brainstorming content ideas and seeing it though to creation. We want our final article to be optimized so that we are moving up in our search rankings.
Our SEO and content team used to be separate however we have now changed our content focus so that the content team is primarily working on articles to drive traffic.
I have not used a similar platform.
