Overall Satisfaction with Cornerstone OnDemand

It is being used by the entire organization as an LMS. We were looking for a fully capable LMS and selected Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD ) over several other large LMS solutions that we evaluated. We needed a solution that was SCORM compliant, had auto enrollment functionality, email capabilities and reporting. We also wanted a system that would interface with other third party vendors.
  • Good client support site
  • Local user groups
  • Very configurable system
  • It can be complicated and hard to find things.
  • Support online can lead to slower response times.
  • The process of Copying Down from Production to Test seems backwards for implementation.
  • Increased capability.
  • Enterprise solution.
  • Advanced technology.
We felt that CSOD had better capabilities that matched with the requirements we had defined for this type of solution. We also saw that the primary alternative we were considering was having financial concerns and were potentially going to be purchased by another company. The uncertainty lead us to select CSOD.
In my opinion, Cornerstone OnDemand is more suited for a large organization that is going to use the system as an enterprise LMS and potentially for talent management. I would not think that a small organization or a departmental training unit would need a solution as big or capable as this system is.
