Overall Satisfaction with EMS Software

Within the Blackburn University Center, EMS Software is used to reserve space within our facility. Currently it is being used by three departments; the Blackburn University Center, Burr Gymnasium (Athletics), and Cramton Auditorium. EMS Software addresses a number of things such as room reservations, invoicing, facility reporting, and revenue reporting just to name a few. EMS allows us to manage spaces within our facility to better serve the needs of students, staff/faculty, and external clients.

Pros

  • Invoicing
  • Facility and room utilization reporting
  • Producing viewable calendars
  • Facilitating a better end user experience

Cons

  • Being able to delete inactive users although they still may be tied to past reservations
  • A better plan for the number of users a university can have
  • Webinars for step by step tutoring on various EMS topics
  • Future improved efficiency
  • A better end user expereince with the upgrade to V44.1
  • The ability to take the management duties away from IT, which is come higher education cases can be a challenge
Honestly, I have used EMS since 2010 and truly while there have been other companies that tried to solicit their software services, none of them have been memorable. When you have a software package like EMS, it is difficult to find any other company that stacks up to the services and innovation that EMS provides.
EMS always finds a way to adapte to the customer needs in a way that promises to find a way to develop general solutions or solutions that are specific to an organization’s objectives.
Again I would rate this as a ten because of the effort that EMS puts into the ease of configuring the software to match the needs of the partnering organizations. Anything worth having is worth working for, so I can appreciate being able to give suggestions that you are likely to see EMS implement.
From my experience EMS Software is well suited for University entities that deal with meeting space scheduling. To me it is an all in one experience where the software can perform multiple duties based on a customer’s needs.
