Overall Satisfaction with F5 BIG-IP
We use the product in two ways. We have a web interface and we also use the client, the BIG-IP client. So depending on your role and stuff, either you use the client so you can actually access a local machine or you use the web interface. So our nursing staff, doctors, and stuff like that can only access the applications or the EMR systems that they're allowed to access.
- Allow role-based application control.
- Some of the stuff, like recently we are migrating from an on-prem exchange to Microsoft 365, and having it above both interfaces, both application icons on the desktop makes it kind of confusing for users. So if there was a way that they could just use the same icon and it knew how to route for what the user was licensed for. That would probably be a little bit better. And then I think some of the face of the product, the gooey interfaces could be improved.
- The impact when we look at it positively is it allows easier access for people who may not understand how to use VPNs or connect remotely like that. And it gives them a familiar browser interface that they can use to get to items and stuff.
