Overall Satisfaction with GiveSmart

We primarily use the product in the development department. We have used the product across various fundraising programs/events. GiveSmart has allowed us to streamline payment processes for our events and also offer a streamlined giving method for our donors. Also, GiveSmart has eliminated in-house staff having to process credit card payments for the various activities we have.

Pros

  • The ease of set up of the web page for a specific project is very user friendly and easy to implement
  • The reporting options provide more than enough detail for our needs
  • GiveSmart is very easy for the end user to use

Cons

  • GiveSmart is not very fluid [in] a specific situation. Some of the functionality is limited and does not adapt to a specific need.
  • As we have used the system over the years it appears not to have a dynamic database of all users. One spot where we can see all the activity of an individual.
  • Would like to see better integration with other software programs, ie raisers edge, salesforce to allow for data dump from one [side] to the other.
  • Has allowed us to streamline some annual appeal efforts by allowing us to focus on an email campaign with a link to the donor page.
  • GiveSmart has offered quicker collection/processing of donations.
  • We have seen the ease of use by internal staff, allowing us to streamline our auction event along with our gala.
The system is extremely easy to use. As a children's game tagline says...takes a minute to learn a lifetime to master. We have a basic understanding of the platform and have continued to perfect how we present our offerings and better understand the complete functionality of the product.
Overall very easy to hear back from the GiveSmart staff. Sometimes it seems we are "bothering" our contact when we ask a question. But, we do [hear] from support staff eventually.
Overall GiveSmart is very user-friendly and helps to streamline online giving. We have been very pleased with our experience especially through Covid time as the platform has allowed us to reach donors through various methods and streamline the giving process.
