Overall Satisfaction with GiveSmart

We used GiveSmart for fundraising and silent auction in annual virtual event.
  • Silent Auction Management
  • Integration
  • Technical Support
  • Reduced challenge match success (unable to show real-time status)
Silent auction is easy to set up and manage.
Several emails to our assigned customer service person went unanswered for <1 week and the technical support team was not helpful at all. Further, after the frustration of not being able to use the platform as planned, there was no attempt by customer service to reconnect or correct the issue by anyone at GiveSmart.
We have not used GiveSmart for any other campaigns due to the look/feel limitations. We justified the cost for specifically the event.

GiveSmart's silent auction management is very strong. My team successfully ran our auction. However, I selected GiveSmart and paid the exceptionally high fee because of the integration and ability to iframe in the thermometer to show the current status of fundraising (essential to a non-profit event). The function worked fine when I was testing/selecting and then broke. In my opinion, GiveSmart's technical was unacceptably dismissive of the change/challenge and the final response was essentially, "it can't be done." The ability to show the status of fundraising during an event is critical and the fact that it worked when I tested and signed the agreement -- then stopped working -- is unacceptable. I would not recommend GiveSmart because it is too costly -- given the poor technical support and limitations -- and there are several competitors in this space at a lower price-point given the limited integration options.
