Overall Satisfaction with Google Compute Engine
We use Google Compute Engine to run jenkins. This jenkins jobs do various tasks.
- Building products
- Running integration test
- Running accreditations tests
Before every release we set up a production grade deployment using Google Compute Engine and do performance test.

- GCE is only available only in three regions, They can add more regions.
- Google can provide pricing model like AWS's reserved instances and spot instances .
- They can improve the UI a bit better, when I get started I found it hard to get familier with the UI.
- Google Compute Engine is cost effective compared to other solutions.
- Its easy to choose the server from a wide variety of templates. So we can choose exactly the right size we want. No less no more. So its cost effective.
- Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) and Azure Virtual Machines
Google Compute Engine is better than other in terms of the pricing and the performance. But when it comes to ease of use i would prefer Azure Virtual Machines. Other than this I find GCE very competitive with these other solutions
