Overall Satisfaction with HubSpot CRM

We have one business development rep, a marketer and a CEO using the CRM currently. Our project managers also have access and sometimes use the CRM. For us, the CRM is a way to communicate deal status and track interactions with qualified leads. The HubSpot CRM has views that make so much sense. They make it simple to get a high level overview, keep up to date on follow up tasks, and move prospects through lifecycle stages.

Update 4/18/16: we hired a sales rep and he's already commented many times on how easy it is to use! I love hearing this - as a marketer, it's so nice to know the data I work hard to gather can help my sales rep build context for his outreach and make his interactions with our prospects more personalized!
  • Views that make sense to salespeople
  • Easy to get a high level overview of how many people are in each stage of the sales process
  • Makes follow up tasks easy
  • It lacks very advanced reporting - though they just created a reporting add on. (Note: 4/18/16 the reports add on is great and powerful but should be included not an additional cost!)
  • I'd like to be able to link to a contact record in the HubSpot CRM in internal notification emails using a personalization token like you can for contacts in the marketing side of things.
  • The contacts layout is clean but still could be a little simpler. (Update - this has been modified a little since posting this originally and is slightly better)
  • Increased employee efficiency
  • Increased employee use of CRM
  • Increased integration between sales and marketing
As I mentioned before - HubSpot CRM is a CRM meant for a salesperson. Unlike Salesforce.com which is cumbersome and does not have clear reporting or high-level views, the HubSpot CRM is easy to use and easy to understand.

Update 4/18/16: Our new sales rep is loving using the CRM and I can see his responses in real time to know how quickly he follows up on high-priority leads. We work so much more closely since using the HubSpot CRM! I care about what he's doing and he cares about what marketing is doing and we want to help and support each other. With the HubSpot CRM we can!
With a small Salesforce or a team of sales reps with a rather simple sales cycle the HubSpot CRM would work very well. It's easy to use and makes sense for salespeople. After using Salesforce.com for a while I always got the feeling it was made for CEOs and sales managers to monitor salespeople but didn't cater to the actual needs of salespeople. New contact entry is cumbersome in Salesforce.com but easy in the HubSpot CRM and it even does some of the work for you.
