Overall Satisfaction with IBM Instana

I use IBM Instana for monitoring Kubernetes clusters for hardware and software issues, create alerts on log messages and issues since the customer needs to know how the system is behaving or if problems with master data come up.

IBM Instana was an easier setup and to manage. However, we are still using Grafana and Prometheus to monitor Kafka.

IBM Instana currently does not have an out-of-the-box solution for monitoring confluent Kafka. The monitoring of internal processes inside your own hosted Kubernetes cluster works great with a fast setup and everything is configurable with easy-to-understand interfaces.
