Overall Satisfaction with IBM Watson Assistant
We use IBM Watson Assistant as the brains behind our range of chatbots. Our chatbots support staff members across different areas to be equipped with the knowledge to help our customers.
- Easy to train and increase bot confidence
- Easy to create entities and nodes
- Easy to create jump nodes
- Easy to search conversation content
- Some bugs after updates that aren't communicated well
- Poor customer support when trying to solve these bugs
- Errors are not well communicated and are difficult to solve without a lot of human problem solving
- Unable to share detailed figures.
These features are so helpful, the intent recommendations are heavily relied on by my team. We don't use voice integration much as there is no business case for the feature within my organization. The disambiguation feature is great and customizable, we rely on it heavily when our users treat our chatbot like Google search and give one-worded input. I also enjoy the synonym recommendations when creating new entities.
I have also used Microsoft's LUIS for conversation design. Whilst the platforms look similar, IBM offers some nuanced features that make the day to day experience easier for chatbot designers.
