Overall Satisfaction with IBM Watson Media's Video Streaming
We use IBM Watson Media to deliver streams in a closed-loop when requested by clients. We never allow open access but always have the videos gated behind a password. IBM Watson Media is used organization-wide and is our only streaming tool, which we use instead of another industry alternatives.

We don’t scale particularly large with IBM Watson Media, but we’ve never had any issues when we do scale a bit. Our typical use case is 3-4 viewers, but we’ve gone up to 20 or so and haven’t had any issues at all. We wouldn’t hesitate to scale up much further either.
We find the video on IBM Watson Media scales perfectly well, delivering the best content a connection allows. We’ve also benefitted from the backup functionality and automatic recording, which we use as a tertiary backup to our already double redundant system. We also appreciate the fact that we can upload higher quality backups later for better-archived viewing.
Since our use case of IBM Watson Media is mostly a closed-loop and at the request of clients, we don’t really use or rely on metrics. We do monitor them a bit just to get a sense of usage, but it isn’t important to our business. Still nice to have.
