Overall Satisfaction with Lessonly
Lessonly is currently being used by our content team, which answers to the Director of Support. We use Lessonly internally to build training modules for incoming sales and support employees. We also are currently trying to see if Lessonly might be a good tool to use externally, as we are looking to build out a learning academy for our users. To start, we are building about five lessons that we'll be able to make public to our users, and we will see if the feedback we get from this use of Lessonly is positive. If it is positive, we will use Lessonly to build an entire learning academy for our users.
Pros
- The product is easy to use
- The company is good at taking feedback and updating their product accordingly
- The company makes their users feel like they're part of a community
Cons
- Their editor often malfunctions on the backend and I often have to fix things in html
- It would be nice to be able to duplicate entire lessons
- In Lessonly University, they use an image on every lesson page which is nice to look at, but the images are sometimes arbitrary and don't seem to add to the content
- Cut our training time in half
- Saved money on training
- Got our agents into harder tasks much quicker (again cut in half)
Before Lessonly, we used Google, and although our company continues to use Google Drive for other things, when we started to grow, it became apparent that we needed to use a software that was dedicated to providing an online learning platform. Lessonly is affordable and offers great support in addition to simply having the kind of platform tools that we need. It wasn't until recently that we started thinking about having an external use for Lessonly that has caused us to see its weakness there. That said, Lessonly is highly customizable and has otherwise continued to offer the exact toolset we need as our own company grows and scales. They are also continually adding valuable features to their product, and so far there is no real reason to leave the platform.
