It's used to not only prospect potential ideal customer profile account prospects, but to find the correct leads based on their title, seniority, and location. We use it for those purposes in supplement to another lead contact information scraping tool.

LinkedIn Sales Navigator has the competitive edge of having many peoples' LinkedIn profiles already set up for 10 years and the ability to collect their business contact data. As mentioned, LinkedIn Sales Navigator is best used in supplement with a tool that has accurate contact data for your sales team to export into their other CRMs directly. Although LinkedIn Sales Navigator has a built-in CRM, it doesn't have all the functionality beyond prospecting that I'd hoped for.
