Overall Satisfaction with Lucidchart
Lucidchart provides us with the ability to produce organizational charts that represent the current and future state of employment (growth) within the company for C-Suite, Advisors, and all internal employees.
- Easily create manual or automated organizational charts.
- Allows us to rearrange chart details (item placement) as needed while still maintaining a source database.
- Revision history
- Org charts: It's VERY difficult to access the Page (Data) and Group (Layout & Data) sections / options (and their two respective sub-menus) of the right side menu. Clicking somewhere within the chart to access these menus is very tricky and not very intuitive.
- Org charts: It's not easy to determine the difference between the data within the left side menu. Data Linking area and the actual source data that's managed via the right side menu under Group (Data; Manage) section. If I update the left side menu data and it doesn't update the chart, but if I use my own data source via the right side menu it does. Again, not very intuitive.
- The process to upload photos into an org chart is not very straight-forward from my experience.
- As a start-up, it allows us to produce the needed org chart(s) for use by our C-Level suite, advisors, and all employees to visually see our employee growth.
- Once the software is mastered, it becomes a time-saver, but it's not always the most intuitive application in terms of managing the overall look and feel of an org chart.
While we have the ability to integrate with Slack, we have not utilized this feature yet. We access Lucidchart for organizational charts via Google and Google Sheets and it works well.
