Overall Satisfaction with Marketo

Marketo is being used across our organization to support our sales and marketing goals. This helps address issues when it comes to lead management, email marketing, email data, and others that we implement every day. It also helps sales/marketing alignment as we try to tie marketing influenced revenue to direct sales and also help push leads down the sales funnel with the sales team. It solves many problems and increases productivity as the automation process is easy and quick.
  • Lead management is easy-to-use and gives a nice glance for those who want to have a high-level view of our database also while allowing admins to dig deeper into lead info to help strategize.
  • Email marketing aspect is easy to teach and very self-service as a user creates and edits emails.
  • The MSI aspect is a great way to increase that relationship between sales and marketing as the sales team can easily reach out to leads, see what they are doing with our content and track progress.
  • The platform can run very slow, but you can chat with support on how to fix the issues in the instance.
  • Marketo can sometimes have support issues. There have been times where it takes awhile for my tickets to get resolved.

Our goal is to increase sales and tie marketing efforts to revenue. Marketo helps commit to these goals by providing report and campaigns that directly tie the efforts to results.
It is well suited for companies with a decent size database (over 20,000 or so?) and for companies who really want to take demand gen/marketing automation seriously to convert and nurture leads.
