Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft 365 Defender

We needed additional Email Security. We did not have any advanced threat protection features in with our other provider. We only had basic SPAM and Malware scanning. Microsoft Defender Plan 1 for Office 365 added Safelinks, Safe Attachments, and Anti-Phishing features. This helps prevent issues with employees accessing email hyperlinks or attachments that would lead to a virus or phishing scheme.
  • Safelinks
  • Safe Attachments.
  • Anti-Phishing
  • User Interface.
  • Lower Insurance Costs.
  • Less Email Virus and Phishing Risks.
We often received Phishing Emails that we had to train our employees to delete. We still continue to train our employees, but the number of phishing emails has reduced. This is the number 1 risk to our information technology systems. By increasing email security, our customer's information is much safer.
We now have fewer phishing emails coming through.
They are similar products. The user interfaces are quite different. I have gotten used to both. We actually use Bitdefender for most of our IT Security, and we use Microsoft 365 as our email provider, so we added Microsoft 365 Defender Email Security for advanced security threat protection. They seem to work well together.

Do you think Microsoft Defender XDR delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Microsoft Defender XDR's feature set?

Yes

Did Microsoft Defender XDR live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Microsoft Defender XDR go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Microsoft Defender XDR again?

Yes

It is good for a small business that needs a pre-built system. We currently use it only for Email. We needed advanced Email Security for Safelinks, Safe
Attachments, and Anti-Phishing features. This worked perfectly. The user interface was not perfectly intuitive and could use some improvement, but it is light years ahead of user interfaces from a decade or two ago.
