Overall Satisfaction with MIP Fund Accounting

We use MIP Fund Accounting for our organization's accounting record keeping. Including, but not limited to, manager reports, payroll imports, accounts receivable and payable and budgeting. It runs seamlessly with our hourly time reporting software.
  • Reporting formats
  • Original budgets
  • Accounts Payable
  • Some reports have glitches that I've submitted as issues but were never addressed.
  • Accounts Receivable platform sometimes has issues with reversing and reposting entries.
  • Budgets could be more user friendly when entering or making changes.
  • I'm sure there is time saved with the import and export with our time management system, but I don't have any data.
We have three organizations, we also give and receive funding at multiple levels. Generating reports has always been the easiest function for me personally in MIP. We can basically provide any person asking with any format they'd like to see our numbers in.
I would never want to set up a new accounting system. I still remember in 2005 what we went through to convert from PeachTree.
That was so long ago it's hard to remember. I think we looked at Blackbaud back in 2004.

During our annual audits sometimes they ask for specific or new reports that I am able to easily build and quickly run for them. We purchased the fixed assets platform years ago and my coworker who tried to set it up and use it eventually gave up trying to make it work. That was also the case for the encumbrance module with a different coworker.
