Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use Miro in my practice to showcase connections between concepts when I conduct seminars at work for my peers. For example, when introducing new pedagogical documentation I use Miro to conduct a mind map to demonstrate its benefit on students' learning and engagement. I use mind maps quite frequently and I encourage my peers to use them as well.

Pros

  • Showcase ideas.
  • Allow others to access and use the same document to edit or make add-ons.
  • Make groups to add others and allow them to edit documents.
  • Stickers on important notes.

Cons

  • Posting direct hyperlinks
  • Time management
  • Organization of ideas
  • Group communication
  • Team work dynamic
Miro is a great website to use. I would love to use it for many more years in my profession. One thing I would like is to be able to add hyperlinks. As of right now, I add links on the notepad and my peers copy and paste that link into their search bar. One click on a hyperlink would be more time-efficient but this isn't crucial.
Miro is not only easy for me to set up for our meetings/ presentations, but with one click I can send the link of the document to others which allows them to access it and make edits and add-ons to my document. It makes team communication run more smoothly and efficiently.
Due to COVID-19, we have shifted to an online work environment. Because of this drastic transition, I was looking for a site where we could all access and share our ideas to assist me during meetings. Miro made it very easy for me and my peers to communicate.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is much easier to use compared to MindMup. On MindMup you cannot navigate easily, create groups to share the document or have more than one user. MindMup is more simple and does not have lots of additives. I would always prefer Miro over MindMup because of its convenience.
One scenario when Miro is well suited is for a group presentation when peers are asked to work together to come up with ideas. Individuals can access Miro using the link (on their own devices) and they can all add their ideas. I cannot think of a scenario where Miro would not be useful. It is very versatile and students and professionals can use it.
