monday.com is currently spreading like wildfire as it offers true "ease of use." monday.com is what I like to deem a sort of "common sense use tool" which is being shared by quite a few managers within the state of Maryland Department of Health (MDH). As a manager, it is helping me to keep alignment and follow through with the state's annual initiatives. For example, one of the state's initiatives is to transform all manual paper-based methods to electronic processes. monday.com helps me to take this initiative to a whole different level. Not only did I manage to transform from paper to electronic processes before COVID19, but I also was able to automate processes, which allows me to operate more productively and efficiently as a project manager.

  • Syncing up pushback for large projects with contingencies or dependencies.
  • Keeping track of employee productivity by weekly report.
I absolutely love using automation whenever I can on especially housekeeping tasks such as status reports. I'm not sure if monday.com handles viewing the productivity of its on use per employee. Our unit is constantly inputting service requests from respective departments. The requests then go to the programming department Chief for disbursement to the appropriate manager to handle. The manager then sends the service request to its appropriate programming analyst. This whole process can be set on automation freeing up my time for solving challenges which will add to productivity for my unit.
My customer success manager has become a new friend. She is readily available and always respectful of my time. She is knowledgeable and dependable for answering questions. She genuinely cares about my concerns and seeks the best resolution. I've actually had two assigned to me and both were equal in regards to these important characteristics.
monday.com has always been available to me whenever I have needed to use it. In all fairness to the truth of matters, I have noticed times where emails have gone out about outages. However, those outages have caused no problems for me or my team members. As manager of Systems Liaison Services, I started using monday.com alone to become acquainted to the functionalities of the software. Before you know it, I managed to customize boards that help enhance and eliminate cumbersome tasks. As I introduced these efficiencies to my team one on one, they were practically begging to be added. monday.com can be addictive because it is actually very fun to use.

Monday.com brought the greatest ease to satisfy the need of transparency within our department. It brought cost efficiency by allowing old platforms to be weaned away. It also allowed our methods to be transformed from paper manual processes into modern-day efficient ways of communicating and reporting.
