Overall Satisfaction with NAKIVO Backup & Replication
We use Nakivo Backup & Replication to backup some virtual machines located on ESXi 5.5. We gave it a try because it was one of the few to support that version of Esxi, created some backup tasks, scheduled them, and watched how it worked. The version we used was the free version that supports up to 10 virtual machines. The business problem addressed was to get an image of a virtual machine and restored it onto another Esxi.

- Create a full backup for moving purposes
- Compress the backup to save space
- Identify the backup directory of a machine with its name
- A better process to resolve backup errors
- Some things are hard to [find] in the knowledgebase
- Support for old Esxi versions

- Very informational when doing backup jobs
- Ability to backup/restore free Esxi versions
- Ability to test the software for more than 30 days (1 year)
- Ability to restore other point-in-time backups
