Overall Satisfaction with ON24

ON24 is used in our digital marketing department for lead generation efforts, and thought leadership efforts. Other departments also use ON24, but they are using a different instance of the software. For lead generating purposes we need a specific capabilities. We use it frequently enough that it warrants marketing having our own instance. Also having a smaller instance makes our best practices easy to enforce, and follow.
  • ON24 has made it a point to allow for audio streaming rather than call in audio. This allows us to send the audio with variable bandwidth so attendees with slower internet connections can get the same great experience as attendees with higher speed internet.
  • Video, slides, screen sharing, and web cam all work together. This takes some preparation before hand, but this makes delivering your high quality content such as videos possible, where other products struggle.
  • Q&A with the audience is great. It connects the audience with the producer, presenter, or dedicated Q&A curators. This can be turned off in live presentations, and can be allowed for in on-demand webinars for months after the webinar has ended by passing questions to an email address. Nice touch.
  • We hold webinars for certification purposes, and the certification functionality could use some flexibility. It has testing capability, but some of the options for the correct answer are too limited.
  • Given the demographic we serve, our audience always has issues with audio and video. I hope for a day when there is a way to play a troubleshooting video/audio to reduce this occurrence.
  • The way of laying out what the audience sees, and actually populating the slides/videos the audience will see are in two different places. I wish there was one place where I could look at, and adjust the layout and the slides.
ON24 is somewhat integrated with our instance of Oracle's Eloqua in the Oracle Marketing Cloud. We decided to only use the Eloqua/Salesforce integration so we didn't have to integrate ON24 with Salesforce. We handle registrations with Eloqua, and pass over the list to ON24, but doing it this way makes the setup process much more difficult as we need to set up registration, and forms in two places, and the email communication isn't utilizing the ON24 system at all.
I strain my brain to think of when I could not access ON24. It has been available for our business hour webinars.
  • We have been able to generate more leads as webinar production has been of higher quality.
  • We have been able to increase post webinar survey response rates by having the survey show up immediately after the webinar, rather than waiting to email the survey.
  • We have used the certification feature to ensure attendees receive certification right after they complete the webinar.
We had many problems with Adobe Connect when we were using them. Between lines getting dropped, sound coming over the line, and slides not aligning with the presentation, ON24 has been a big improvement. It does a better job allowing for only registrants to attend the webinar, and tracking many metrics we could never wish for in Adobe Connect.

Lead generating webinars in which a set presentation is used thrive with ON24. Since audience audio lines do not allow for talking, you don't have to worry about muting phones, or audience members having sound in the background.

Since the audio lines do not allow for talking, webinars that allow for talking do not work well with ON24.
