Overall Satisfaction with Parse.ly
Parse.ly is used daily by Adweek's editorial, product, and audience development teams to keep their fingers on the pulse of our reader interaction within our publishing website.
- The UI is extremely user friendly.
- To the everyday user, Parse.ly is much easier to use to drill down into traffic by story, author, referral source, etc. than is Google Analytics.
- Live reports can easily be shared among platform users and non-users.
- While Parse.ly is continually evolving the product, all new functionality comes at a premium price when it should be part of the base offering.
- Parse.ly provides immediate insights regarding audience interaction with website content.
Competitors include
- Google Analytics 360 (the paid version). Everyone should use the free version of Google Analytics, which is immensely capable and is fully integrated with the Google ecosystem.
- Chartbeat. Similar product to Parse.ly but with a lesser user experience (the IU is not as slick but data is similar). Chartbeat is 1/6th the cost of Parse.ly and is a great alternative for the price-conscious media company.
- Adobe Analytics (a.k.a. Omniture). Well integrated into the Adobe ecosystem.
