Overall Satisfaction with Prophix
Prophix is currently only used for financial reporting and our annual operating plan. We hope to use it in the future for some of our CapEx budgeting. Currently, only our finance and accounting department use Prophix. Years ago budgeting in Excel was a nightmare, but since implementing Prophix our planning cycle has become easier and much shorter.
- Budgeting - trying to budget in Excel can be a nightmare. Prophix uses a simple yet robust solution to get the information you need organized and in a format that everyone finds useful.
- Financial Reporting - Before our financial reports were done out of our EBS system since we implemented prophix the package looks more professional. In addition the ability to write reports for different people is very easy.
- Corporate Reporting-writing the reports that I need to fill out our monthly and quarterly reporting package has become much simpler and standard. I run a process and a couple of minutes later I have all the reports I need to fill out the reports.
- I would like to see the export to Excel to be easier than having to download it and then open it.
- When you save the report it would be nice to have confirmation that it is saved, not just when you do a save as.
- Prophix has really changed the way we budget. Now instead of budgeting by a general number per department we are able to budget by exact headcount, benefits and taxes.
We import directly from Oracle. It is spot on every time. We click about three buttons to run our process and our information is in Prophix. it is a wonderful tool to have for your financial reporting.
Having the flexibity to work with our company's regulation on how software is installed was very important. iI not for the flexibility of Prophix we may not have such a great tool to use now.
