Overall Satisfaction with QuickBooks Premier
Used as accounting software to generate account receivable, account payable reports, P&Ls, and documents needed to prepare tax returns. We use it to analyze the business on a monthly basis. Aids with budgeting and planning for the future. Provides and environment whereby we can contact clients and follow up on receivables, etc.
- It's intuitive if you have an accounting background.
- The help section typically offers reliable information to answer questions
- I like the email functionality with sending invoices directly to clients.
- Adjusting entries
- Self created communications for emailing clients
- Journal entry suggestions
- Assisted with collections
- Managing cash flow
Due to QBs reputation, I did not consider any other accounting software. It was the "go to" for us.

At first, we tried to implement in house, but then realized that some professional support was needed. Once a few hours were spent with a QB certified user the system was easier to use and we have been successful since then.
Yes - In house at first and then hired an outside consultant to help clean up and get us on the right track.
Change management was minimal
- General lack of knowledge of all facets of the software
- lack of payroll entry needed to create our own journal entry to book payroll.
