Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
It is being used primarily in the accounting department. It produces the report we need for top management as well as the department heads. We mainly use the Reporting, General ledger, Cash, and Accounts Payable modules. In the beginning, we had allowed multiple managers to access the system. However, we found that the learning curve was too lengthy and staff/ volunteers turned over too frequently (going to missions).
- Ease of accessing detail transactions through the general ledger system is great. You see the scanned copies of the original invoices and requests.
- The integration with other software, such as Martustools, is pretty seamless.
- Not very user friendly for general staff. However, can integrate other more user friendly software with it, and the data flows well.
- Report writing is not as flexible or easy to use.
- Assigning permissions to users can be complex.
- It is better than what we had. But not as user friendly as we hoped.
We use the General Ledger and Accounts Payable module frequently. The accounts receivable portion monthly. Never use the order management. Having the ability to upload journal entries is great. It is so helpful to have recurring payments/ entries. Using the duplicate function then updating with current data is great. Researching transactions can be done purely digitally. So much easier.
We did use the time and expense management, but Sage Intacct took that off of our original package. When we did use it, it didn't give us the details we needed with the ease of the accounts payable module. It was also difficult for our staff to consistently post correctly to the related items causing amounts showing up in unbudgeted lines for their department.
