Overall Satisfaction with SAP Integration Suite
SAP integrations take data from one source (such as an application or software) and make it readable and usable in SAP. Integration such as this is a common need for many organizations as SAP is one of the most widely used solutions for enterprise resource planning.
Pros
- Design, Develop & Operate Integration Scenarios.
- Design, Develop & Manage APIs.
- Manage & Provide Integration Technology Guidance.
Cons
- Managing capability activation/de-activation.
- If the application is accessed by an Integration Provisioner, then the Home page offers the tools to manage the capability activations. To begin with, the Capability section shall be empty. Click on ‘Add Capabilities’ to start working.
- Working with the Home page.
- Once the capabilities are activated, and the roles are assigned, if a privileged user accesses the Integration Suite UI, she lands on the Home page. The Home page is divided into several sections.
- Access to Integration Suite UI.
- The new Integration Suite UI can be launched by administrators by clicking on the link in the cockpit.
- SAP’s API-first approach to integration allows for the creation of modular decoupled application architectures in harmony with more traditional integration approaches.
- SAP also offers our customers access to SAP’s API Business Hub, a central catalog of SAP and partner-sourced APIs. Customers can use the API Business Hub to accelerate their search, discovery, and use of API-based prototypes by using the hub’s sandboxing and testing capabilities.
- An API-first approach also reflects the reality that over the past few years, SAP has acquired multiple best-of-breed cloud SaaS applications that feature their own heritage, technology, and approach to their respective line of business verticals. API-based integration enables our customers to harness the best features of these respective solutions while at the same time benefiting from a seamless cross-domain landscape that works in harmony with our digital core-powering SAP S/4HANA ERP capabilities.
API-first doesn’t mean API-only. There are going to be circumstances where some degree of orchestration is required. To support these scenarios, SAP offers SAP Cloud Platform Integration service (SAP CPI). SAP CPI provides customers with not only an easy-to-use process orchestration integration tool but with CPI pre-packaged integration content that allows for rapid implementation. In some cases, all that is required is copying the content, configuring each end with associated credentials, and then testing and publishing the resulting integration flow between two applications. Customers' feedback so far? They enjoy:
Robotic Process Automation (RPA) accelerates the digital transformation of business processes by automatically replicating routine activities that have no added value.SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation is a complete automation suite where software robots are programmed to imitate humans by replacing manual clicks, reading text-intensive communications, or offering end-user process recommendations for definable and repeatable business processes.SAP provides numerous Robotic Process Automation platforms, including desktop agents, cloud foundry, and desktop lab.
