Overall Satisfaction with Sigma Computing

Sigma Computing is being used by the data team at my company to provide insights to many teams across the organization. The specific way our data team uses it for my department is to provide reports on a) customer usage/health metrics for our SaaS product and b) financial metrics. I then use Sigma Computing to properly filter and massage that data to identify the users that my department directly contacts with the goal of maintaining/increasing customer health and reducing churn.
  • Sigma's reports are visually pleasing.
  • Sigma's reports are intuitive to navigate and manipulate.
  • Sigma connects to our multiple data sources, which some of our other tools do not.
  • I'd like to be able to simply copy a couple rows or columns out of Sigma and paste them into Excel or Google Sheets, where I can color code rows, break info out into different tabs by customer, or delete data after I've addressed the customer linked to it. Currently, I can only copy/paste 1 cell at a time directly from Sigma so I export the entire report, filter it in Excel, and then organize the data further (as mentioned above).
  • A ctrl+f feature would make it easy for me to see if a certain customer is in a report before I take the time to export it. After exporting, I complete the steps mentioned in my first comment.
  • Sigma Computing has allowed me to significantly increase productivity.
From my basic understanding of the product, there are still formatting and filtering features I assume exist, but I do not have the time in my workday to dig through eLearning/knowledgebase articles to learn more.
I know that my company's data team utilizes this capability and that I, in turn, have a cleaner and clearer experience with the reporting they build, but I do not personally know much about SQL queries.
Yes, my company has definitely benefited from collaborating via Sigma Computing! Reports are easily accessible and I do not have to hunt the file's owner/creator for viewing permission. Making a copy of a report allows me to customize the way I digest data (which is always current because it references the original report) while not modifying the original report.
As I previously mentioned, Sigma's speed is unprecedented in my experience with my company. I can find which customers to contact and when to do so in half the time than I did with Mode, NetSuite, and other reports built in-house. This lowers my stress and frustration which drives my overall productivity and in turn, my confidence.
I did not make the decision to acquire this product, but I imagine that free access for non-analyst employees was a major factor in our choice. This pricing model makes Sigma Computing an incredibly sustainable tool for our company, from my point of view.
Sigma Computing is far and away more intuitive to navigate, much easier to look at, and seems to put all of the data and tools I need at my fingertips. I no longer need to dive deep into NetSuite to build reports, update them, or find data for one-off customers. This saves time, stress, and frustration. It aids quick conversation in meetings as well.
As someone in Customer Success who benefits from reports that are built in Sigma Computing by my company's Data team, I am not sure what situations Sigma would not apply. I do know that this has been the best tool I've seen my company implement to create a holistic view of customers health and usage. We were using Mode for reporting before and I used that to update a document on a monthly basis for my team as well as our executives. The reports generated in Mode required me to filter and massage data more than I do now. Sigma Computing cut the time it takes to update that document in half, saving me hours.
