Overall Satisfaction with Skype

Skype is being used by our company for keeping in touch with other members and communicating while working remotely.
  • Reliable connection for calls and conference meetings
  • Ability to join a meeting from a phone line
  • Ability to share screen with other meeting participants
  • Ability to record meetings
  • Not possible to hold Webinars
  • No social networking groups unlike Teams
  • It has helped the team stay in touch during the Pandemic.
Microsoft Teams is more suitable for teams who share information in Channels. It also allows simple management of tasks and projects through the integrated Kanban Board. Zoom and Webex Meetings are more suitable for holding Webinars. Zoom is easy to use for holding meetings with people outside the organization. Webex is more secure and used for holding large company meetings within the organization.

Do you think Skype delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Skype's feature set?

Yes

Did Skype live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Skype go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Skype again?

Yes

If the goal is keeping in touch with other team members, Skype can handle that well. The software is intuitive and offers stable connections. However, for meetings with large groups or holding webinars, the competitor software Zoom is more suitable. For sharing and maintaining information in channels, as well as simple management of projects in Kanban board, Teams is more suitable.
