Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor
We use Network Performance Monitor to monitor all major network nodes across our company, from our data center to our satellite locations. Only the IT department uses it but it is trusted to work by the entire organization.

- By adding a device you add ALL nodes on that device. You must retroactively remove these AFTER the device has been added. There should be an option in the setup a process to remove nonessential nodes when adding a device.
- It helps our business operate more fluidly as we are able to mitigate risk by being proactive in bandwidth and network utilization monitoring.
- It keeps our IT department on its toes when a network goes down.
- It allows our IT department to focus their time and energy on other tasks and lets NPM monitor the network for anomalies.
They're similar but overall NPM integrates better with the other products SolarWinds offers, which makes the overall product much better.
