I find SourceForge useful for comparing commercial software, providing me with various data that allows me to make a fair comparison and thus be able to make solid decisions determining which software is best for me to cover the needs I have at any given time. I implement this platform most of the time to search for the ideal software to do certain tasks or fulfill certain functions in my work area, an example is that it made it easier for me to search for automation software and that allowed me to connect multiple platforms.
- Commercial software and FOSS projects are available.
- FOSS projects have advanced profiles such as software hosting for download as well as download metrics. As well as the released versions.
- Commercial software profiles show detailed features, what it offers, price, frequently asked questions and a vast amount of user reviews.
- Very old user interface and user experience hasn't aged very well, nothing accessible to any user.
- There is no section where I can more easily compare software of the same style, I necessarily have to resort to the comments.
- It does not have so many metrics to be able to choose the right software, as well as the little information regarding the qualification that can be left to the characteristics of a software.
- Extensive directory of commercial software and IT services where you can review and compare.
- Easy to leave an opinion based on experience, you don't have to fill in so many fields.
- I found automation software that allowed me to save time by being able to connect different platforms and have certain actions performed automatically.
- I have been able to find a large part of the software or IT service platforms at SourceForge, it has been useful to cover the needs when I need to find software that exceeds my expectations.
- I save time by not having to browse the internet looking for software or trying solutions one by one, but simply research within SourceForge the necessary software and can get an idea of how it works through the opinions left by multiple users.
