Overall Satisfaction with SAP SuccessFactors
The main objective of moving to SuccessFactors EC (from SAP ECC HR) was to cut out an enormous amount manual work involved in managing employee status changes.
- SuccessFactors EC provides a very smooth navigation across the application, specially compared to SAP on-premises ESS and MSS
- Mobility is a huge plus
- Simplified configuration
- Level of customization is poor (especially for customers using using SAP on-premises product)
- In the absence of platform, building complex reports, interfacing with downstream systems and building custom processes is just too much to expect from EC as yet.
- Thumbs down to time-off management (except for application for requesting time off)
- Manual work on employee status change form was cut significantly
- Introduced overhead in maintaining sync with other systems
- Employees loved the application interface
SuccessFactors EC competes well with HCM applications such as Workday and Oracle HCM cloud. What tilted the decision towards SuccessFactors EC was the integration with SAP on-premises HCM, for which SAP provides a packaged integration.
