I am a college professor. I teach a Healthcare Information Systems Applications course where students work on several small community projects. We asked for an educational license for about two months so students could do some training and then use Spotfire for some analysis on their projects.
None of the students had used Spotfire before that class. They had all used Tableau, SAS, and Excel for reporting and data analytics.

- The ability to choose what filters to apply to a chart is a user-friendly way to share the information with stakeholders.
- The chart types are varied.
- Liked the ability to tie charts together to the same legend or filters.
- Would like to see more chart types supported.

- The Cloud version menu and navigation were a bit hard to understand.
I had used Spotfire during an internship and wanted to expose my students to this tool. I appreciate how Spotfire worked with me to get educational licenses for my students to use. Students enjoyed having a comparison with Tableau which they had all used.

No, we used the Cloud-based version for the class projects. I do not have experience with other Spotfire products so I cannot give a comparison or talk about integrations.
