Overall Satisfaction with UKG Workforce Central (formerly Kronos Workforce Central)

UKG Workforce Central is used across all companies within the Group. We use a combination of the InTouch clocks and the mobile/tablet apps.

For us, UKG Workforce Central solved the problem of needing a cloud-based Time and Attendance system that is flexible and scalable, as the Group went through a period of rapid acquisitions. It also allowed us to have consistent real-time data for us to analyse work patterns and this data was key when needed to workforce planning following the COVID epidemic.

  • We've had some reliability issues with the InTouch scanners

  • Single Sign On functionality
  • Reduced risk with us knowing more about work patterns
  • Reduced accidental overpayments
Most of the business simply used manual timesheets and Microsoft Excel to track time and attendance before we acquired UKG Workforce Central.
Obviously this method of tracking is very prone to user error and manipulation. UKG Workforce Central has been a revolution for us in terms of centralising this task and ensuring it's done in a proper and consistent manner.

UKG Workforce Central is clearly a capable enterprise-level product that can scale as needed. It is well suited for complex employment arrangements like ours. We frequently have employees who work several roles within our Group of companies and Kronos is able to handle this well.

If you have simple rostering requirements, UKG Workforce Central may be overkill in this instance. It can become complex for the end-user depending on your configuration.
