Overall Satisfaction with Varicent

We use Varicent to calculate commissions for approximately 900+ people. It easily takes inbound sales on a nightly feed along with the quota we upload and tracks performance on a category and subcategory level. In addition to commissions, Varicent allows for up-to-date performance reporting that is used by the Sales Organizations and Finance.
  • Accuracy of calculations.
  • Ability to 'lock' results used to pay sellers.
  • Calculation speed is impressive given the volume of data coming in.
  • Visualizations lag behind other 'big data' analytics platforms, but Varicent continuously makes significant improvements.
  • We have reduced the time the Comp Admins take to validate commission payments.
  • There has been a significant reduction in manual adjustments by Comp Admins to correct payouts.
  • Sales Reps have more trust in their numbers.
We have fewer tables to update to implement new compensation plans, making setup much faster and more accurate. This makes it much easier to audit as well. We use Process Lists to create a 'how to' so that newer Comp Admins can get up to speed much faster. This has been one of the most valuable features!
Prior to using Varicent, our commission statements were very bland. With help from Varicent, we now have commission statements with slick graphs, charts, and KPIs. There are links sellers can use to get into more detail to see what is driving their results this month. Feedback from the Field has been nothing but positive and this came together very quickly with help from Varicent.
It is just as easy for us to pay one person as it is 1000 people, so we find the product very easy to scale.

We have a very challenging environment with how our sales data comes in, and our compensation plans get more complex every year. Varicent worked closely with us to ensure the logic put in place met our needs. They continue to partner with us as we are rolling out more reporting, which our Field really enjoys!
