Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard Network Security

I currently use Watchguards at all 6 of my locations for network security and also as a means to link these locations together via branch office VPN. My watchguards handle both my network policies to determine what end users can access as well as being able to remote in to the internal network from an outside source.
  • Network security
  • network policies
  • VPN
  • Network monitoring
  • integrated active directory support
  • gui interface
  • better SSL VPN access
  • better way to view network traffic
  • better response times
  • network security
  • VPN to be able to work remotely
  • Botnet detection
I worked with Mabel from insight to purchase all of my watchguards. The support she provided was great as always. Mabel was also able to provide meetings directly with Watchguard support through a teams meeting to answer any questions I had. I would purchase from Insight again and recommend them.
Being able to manage my security products from one location helps me tremendously. Im not having to go through multiple applications and make changes such as policies, VPN setups, geolocation policies, SSL VPN policies which allows users to access the company network from outside. the interface is the same on the new watchguards as the older ones so I also already know where everything is located.
I wasn't able to fully implement the WatchGuard cloud. I was able to add all of them to the cloud to be able to view the watch guards however to fully implement the six watch guards to Watch guard cloud, I would need to reset them and set them up. I did contact Watch Guard support on this and they were very helpful but I could not have downtime in order to do this.
At 3 of my locations I use both a Sonic Wall and a watch guard. In my experience, the sonic wall has a much better interface. I feel it was much easier for someone that has never accessed a fire wall to be able to make changes and learn very quickly. I feel the Watchguard has better built in applications and the VPN was easier to use and access.

I've used my watch guards to be able to easily connect users from a new location we just opened back to our main location using a branch office VPN. This allows them to access resources such as shared drives and servers. Im also able to view any alerts in my email if any problems arise.
