Overall Satisfaction with Webex Meetings

We use Webex meetings as a general forum for team meetings involving internal and external personnel and vendors. It affords a relatively straightforward means to gather input from subject experts in a collaborative manner. We also use it to review documents as a team and reach consensus and more rapidly finalize documents than traditional means such as circulating a document by email or collecting numerous comments on a SharePoint type site.

Pros

  • Integrates well with outlook
  • Allows viewing and sharing of documents
  • Provides option (extra cost) for phone access in addition to internet access
  • Basic user interface is fairly intuitive to use

Cons

  • High resolution graphics can be slow to load, a cache mode might help
  • Numerous useful [advanced] functions are difficult to access. A simple cheat sheet for basic users and more advanced user function with discrete examples would be helpful to have
  • especially important to replace face to face meetings during the COVID
  • Will likely replace some of travel in the future post COVID
  • Cost is relatively small given overall benefit and travel costs offsets
Webex has a great functional scope; albeit, some are difficult to use. Webex seems to work more reliably especially for international attendees to meetings and local access numbers are readily available. Seeing a person's body language can be helpful in many situations.

Rarely have we had a problem with availability and they seem always to be of short term duration Webex technical support is readily available and most responsive to customer needs
Can scale both internally and externally. We have not encountered limitations in meetings/presentations as large as 275 individuals
In general pages load quickly. When slow loads occur it is hard to distinguish if this is on the user end or on the part of Webex
Well suited for team collaborative meetings where users are dispersed around the globe. Numerous local access numbers are available. It is also aptly suited for presentations to large groups of individuals in a lecture-like format; a q&A type function can be accomplished using the chat. The presentation can be recorded for later replays. It integrates well with Outlook calendar functions
