Overall Satisfaction with Webroot Advanced Email Encryption powered by Zix

We implemented a trial of Webroot to send encrypted email while evaluating multiple products for the same solution and after an evaluation, we decided to continue with our current providers which are Biscom, Mimecast, and Egress - the end-users can send an encrypted communication through Biscom or Mimecast Secure Messaging and our users that tried Zix/Webroot preferred Biscom or Mimecast as they offered better ease of use (though the IT Team did prefer Webroot)
  • guaranteed encrypted delivery
  • DLP / email security
  • allows attachments larger than standard Office365 setup
  • the UI was not as intuitive as our end-users would prefer
  • slow for a cloud based solution
  • n/a, we only rolled it out in trial
it was easy for IT to implement but our pilot users preferred our existing solution, so we did not proceed past a trial
We ended up staying with Mimecast instead of Zix because our users preferred the Mimecast UI

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Webroot Advanced Email Encryption powered by Zix go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Webroot Advanced Email Encryption powered by Zix again?

Yes

Well suited for situations when a group of your users needs to send secure emails quickly, good for protecting PII/PHI due to requiring registration/login to view, works well for sending/receiving large attachments as well

Less appropriate scenarios for use are when an external party needs to be able to compose a message since that requires a license used for them, otherwise they can only reply to one of the messages an internal user sent to them (similar to limitation of Biscom and Mimecast)
