Overall Satisfaction with Workfront

Workfront is being used by an organization within Disney called the Disney Vacation Club.
  • Centralize projects in one solution
  • Deliver client-facing services

Pros

  • The clean and intuitive interface makes the Workfront solution stand out among its competition.
  • Reports and Dashboards are easily created.
  • Since the solution is cloud based, it is easy to access from any browser with an internet connection - great to manage work on the go.
  • Workfront provides a great platform to centralize projects across many functional areas.

Cons

  • While reporting is intuitive to build, the output looks dated compared to more modern reporting tools.
  • There is no way to collaborate across instances, making it challenging to work with another department or company that also uses the tool.
  • Productivity and collaboration have increased significantly.
  • Projects are better planned and critical project milestones are never missed (like communication and change management).
This is the first SAS work management tool we've used. Prior to workfront we used spreadsheets and sticky notes!
We used Workfront for initial integration. While we had limited funding, I feel they could have done a better job of helping us think through a supporting PMO. Almost all of the consulting was technical.
Workfront is excellent to provide a simple, yet powerful work management tool for those looking to improve communication, collaboration and consistency across large teams with complex projects. Workfront would be overkill for small teams that do not have the need for collaboration.
