Acronis Disaster Recovery Service vs. Carbonite Recover

Acronis Disaster Recovery Service is well suited in any scenario where a business has a server environment that they cannot afford to have gone down for any amount of time. It is less suited in a smaller business environment where downtime for several hours does not disrupt the flow of the business enough to offset the cost of Acronis Disaster Recovery Service.

I believe it works best for our small to medium size businesses customers. It quickly identifies if a file or folder is having backup issues. This user-friendly interface makes it easier to understand. Since there is no on-site IT staff it makes it easier for them to quickly check [their] backups.

The reseller or MSP often determine support for the service that the client chooses to purchase the product from. On the reseller or MSP side, Acronis Disaster Recovery Service support is outstanding. They are quick to respond to issues and always have someone available to help answer questions about sales, using the product, or training.

Acronis Disaster Recovery Service provides an entirely cloud-based service that can be managed anywhere without the need for additional hardware. While we do offer other DRaaS options, they mainly involve redundant hardware that is costly and typically not suitable for small clients. Acronis Disaster Recovery Service provides a cloud-based service with agent-based installation at a competitive price.

Unitrends is a more robust software meant for larger businesses. I chose to compare to Unitrends to point out why we target small to medium customers with Carbonite. Unitrends does full VM and file backups while carbonite backups up files. Unitrends is expensive and harder to set up. Carbonite is quick and easy.
