After 12 employees, each additional employee is $8.25 each. To run payroll for employees is an additional $75 a month for $10 employees, with each additional employee being $4.25. Adding performance management is $4.25 a month and tracking features are $3.00 a month.
We went with ADP because our thousands of per diem nurses were already in the system so we got an extremely substantial discount to utilize ADP as our HRIS for our corporate employees.

Chose ADP Workforce Now
Between the different HRISs and ATSs I have had experience with, ADP is probably the most robust. It is pretty difficult to find a system that incorporates all the essential HR functions (people data, time and attendance, PM, ATS, etc) and does it all seamlessly for large …
The ease of use for ADP Workforce Now (i.e. setup, integration with benefits offerings, etc.) is second to none. I came into the role as the organization's Executive Director with very little HR and Payroll experience and had minimal difficulty "keeping the trains running on …
BambooHR is extremely user-friendly and is significantly cheaper than the add-ons available with ADP. The HR functions like getting employees to sign policies and fill out forms are really easy to navigate and track. I also really liked their verbiage in that software--not …
Namely is a terrible system and they have awful customer service. I would never recommend them. We left them after a few months. I've evaluated BambooHR because I've heard great things about it as an HRIS, but it doesn't have payroll and I prefer all-in-one systems when it comes …
We previously used Paychex for payroll only and Bamboo HR for certain employees. We used manual spreadsheets to track vacation and pay. We selected ADP because it was the best tool to fit all of our needs. We were able to consolidate into one system. We no longer use a …
ADP is so much easier. I don't have to modify my process to work with the system. The system works with my company and when you are subject to multiple compliance checks (banking/finance industry) that is key. The interface is intuitive, streamlined and easy to use.
ADP Workforce Now is much easier to use than BambooHR. I remember BambooHR was underutilized in the organization I was at previously, and it was difficult to navigate. ADP is much more robust and easy to use in comparison. It is customizable by the administrators to be able to …
My company chose ADP, probably because they are the leading payroll solution. To re-iterate, if there was another alternative that was as prevalent and established, I'm sure they could make a better end product as far as features and especially usability goes. They need some …
We used BambooHR and really liked it. Selected ADP because we did not want to find integrations for benefits and payroll - we wanted it to be "all in one," which is what ADP Workforce Now could provide. This was the same with Zenefits.
ADP Workforce Now falls well short when compared to the other similar players in the cloud HCM space (Bamboo, Ultimate, Dayforce, etc.,), as well as the big three (Workday, Success Factors, Oracle Fusion).
BambooHR pricing leaves it a bit harder of a sell than some of the competitors we have used in the past. If it was fully featured rich with an overflow of integrations that might be different, but as it stands, without a pricing change, I think that bridge is a harder sell for …
I used to use that software but couldn't meet up my demand. But in BambooHR workforce management platform features are really amazing than that. Platforms, content and overall everything of BambooHR is work-worthy.
Other tools with a more unified platform (including a more mature payroll solution) have been much more robust in terms of their data and reporting capabilities. BambooHR, however, has the edge on having a flashier look that may be more appealing to some up-and-coming …
I haven't used many products similar to BambooHR. One that is kind of close is SecureDocs, but it doesn't nearly match the depth of BambooHR. They are about the same when it comes to storing documents, but BambooHR is great in that it does so much more! That's where it really …
If you need to process payroll frequently for several hundred employees and file various reports for tax/compliance purposes, ADP is a sound tool. If you are looking for a comprehensive employee onboarding solution, there are many more automated and advanced tools on the market. The benefits administration tools are decent once you have completed the implementation but mentally prepare yourself for the implementation to take several months longer than what you originally anticipated.
Overall BambooHr has excelled in satisfying our needs. It performs well as a one-stop-shop for HR challenges. It has benefitted us as an excellent repository for personnel information both in processing prospective and new hires, as well as existing employees. It provides a fairly simple, but [the] straightforward system for managing and using time off. Some areas do need some work, however. There is no ability to set up a default set of time-off types/accruals for a new hire, which means this has to be done manually for each new employee. This creates a lot of opportunities for human error. It also has a very opaque and unhelpful API when it comes to the management of the time data; Whereas the rest of the API is exceptional. Lastly, the ability to request time off only allows for a flat number of hours in a day; it doesn't allow the employee to request specific times. As a result, we rely on the employee and manager to communicate the time successfully in the notes field. There is a big difference between arriving 1 hour late, leaving 1 hour early, and stepping out for an extended lunch.
The Benefits Services Team has provided seamless integration between our employees and their benefits selections upon hire, as well as annual enrollment for all employees. It has saved me untold hours in not only communicating with all of my benefit partners but also in invoice reconciliation and life event changes.
The recruitment and job requisition has been an absolute game-changer for our company. We launched a career center on our website that integrates from the platform, and allows us to attract talent at a much higher level. It also integrates with the top job posting sites for maximum exposure. All communications with candidates are tracked and saved on the system, and I love that the templates are customizable.
ADP is excellent at payroll processing. This seems basic, however, there is so much flexibility built into their system. We have had to process one-time checks, make corrections to previous checks, revise end-of-year W2's and the payroll team is always there to help and guide us through the solutions.
BambooHR has a top-notch electronic onboarding process. It is fully customizable and works very well with applicants of all technological capabilities. Onboarding allows you to add every step the new employee and the business partners must complete through timed, dated, notifications, digital documents, e-signatures, and a back-end administrative ability to follow up.
BambooHR has good applicant tracking system. They currently integrate with indeed and ZipRecruiter. However, it is easy to create links for other platforms with the ability to distinguish where you are getting recruiting traction. In addition the ability to rate, and communicate about an applicant is confidential between the hiring managers and HR. Also, there is an easy way to create a candidate pool of eligible candidates for later passive recruiting, that is called Talent Pools.
BambooHR has a unique feature called Announcements. This function allows various announcements to go out via email, through the application, or a combination of both to directed target audiences or the entire company.
BambooHR also sends out announcements (customizable) on every new hire. This allows folks to see who is starting and learn a bit about them before they meet them.
BambooHR has a great function for tracking time by the task or job. This is great for tracking productivity gaps for administrative positions or job costing for positions that have billable hours.
BambooHR also has easy to organize digital documents. You can easily upload documents via drop and drag. Documents can be added to folders and then downloaded later if an employee terminates.
Goal in performance management are very good, they follow the SMART methodology but there is no way to attach them to a performance review. They do allow the employee to adjust using a slide bar and you can attach people to a goal. In addition it notifies the supervisor but you cannot shut off notifications.
The font size of employees' pay rate on Pay Profile should be smaller. I'm always worried someone walks up to me and I can't minimize the screen fast enough.
Assigning a time-off policy isn't easy to find.
Vacation accrual policy is set up behind the scenes, I'd like to see the criteria without calling customer service.
Due to the lack of support from the sales and service center we are looking at other options outside of ADP. Again it is a good system, it just lacks the support it deserves from the company employees. It is just unimaginable that you will need to reach out to a service provider several times for the same issue and not get it resolved.
We have tried other software in the last year and have not found it to be comparable to Bamboo HR especially in relation to the HR functionalities such as workflows, onboarding, automation, user-friendly experience, innovation, timekeeping, and ability to integrate with other 3rd party Payroll processing software. In addition, the employee ease of access and navigation of the platform makes this software crucial within our current culture of multi-site and remote work environments.
Global HR management and payroll processing is a complex area. That said, ADP is going a great job with the software platform. Users do need to come into this work with knowledge of what the outcome should be, how the input affects output, how one item affects other items, and more. This is not an area for an entry clerk to be working. Customer service has really ramped up in effectiveness. Cross training so one representative can assist without multiple transfers, has been a big improvement. The online support platform allows for creating a case, following progress and constant communication. Choosing an 8 rating leaves room for the major and exciting changes that are in progress. We look forward to what is rolled out soon based on the ever present feedback from users
Does not have many problems and this ensures all of users are able to use it reliably. There is a free demo available to illustrate the accurate usage of the platform and even customer support. All of these help in improving the usability of the platform and ensure that all users are comfortable with the platform.
Yes, there is a huge team in the back of the online platform or it looks like it because I have never been left without an answer when I have a question or waiting from a response on my chat .... There must be a huge team, this is so great and I always seem to have someone that is very knowledgeable too. So many times in the past I had to leave with customer service that would connect you with someone else because of the expertise, here everyone seems to be some kind of an expert in the HR function.
Overall, I think the functionality of the program works pretty well. Sometimes, certain browsers do not work well for the policy function of ADP, but that is the only issue thus far
I love BambooHR. Reports are easy to run and download and it usually covers any types of requests I get from the management team. You get excel or .csv downloads/reports and it is fast and simple, not too crowded so it is easy to read through. We don't integrate the tool yet but again, soon we will. we just did not had the time to utilize it yet but that's the plan.
The customer service is very efficient in handling problems we face. I had a problem regarding the tax declaration at the time of joining the company. So I wrote an email to the ADP team to resolve the problem, and they provided me an instant response within 24 hours and resolved my problem within three working days. Which I feel was a great experience.
Support is effective and responsive. During our time with BambooHR we did not experience many issues, but initial support on setup was helpful and allowed for a quick turnaround on getting started. Since then, few needs have arisen for contacting support, but I would not hesitate to do so and would recommend BambooHR based on the quality of their support team.
In-person training was pretty good - I think this significantly depends on the trainer. Our trainer was really good and showed what ADP can do - but I know that all trainers are not the same - and this truly makes such as difference. Overall, our training went pretty well.
At the time training was not as expansive as it is now. If it could go wrong it did for me so the process was difficult and lengthy. I needed to have more in person walkthroughs of things to ensure the transition was done correctly. Not sure what else I can say, we were part of the initial move to Workforce Now when it was introduced.
The online training team is great. Theis is so well done! very user friendly, very nice to go through. Then you get all those exemples and questions to test you and make sure you understand the training as we go along. This is a great asset from the tool, I don't think I have ever been left without understanding because there is help and additional resources to understand or extra windows that explain terms or answer Q&A.
Either assign more than one specialist to the implementation process, or assign less clients to the implementation specialist. The process requires attention to detail and the ability to test and re-test as well as verify the information. It also requires a lot of back and forth between the client ant the implementation specialist, so they need to be readily available during the whole implementation process.
ADP Workforce Now is simply way more user friendly than Paylocity, with a much simpler and more modern looking UI, for both users and Admins. Paylocity's interface was just way too complicated and old looking, for that alone we decide to go with ADP Workforce Now to avoid having to deal with employee confusion an poor onboarding.
I would say they both have a lot of strengths for sure. Workday manages data on a mass scale a little bit better in my opinion, but Bamboo HR is more user friendly and pleasing to the eyes
We use ADP Workforce Now in all of our departments and at multiple locations, and it has worked pretty good most of the time. Any scaling we may do in the future will be easy with ADP Workforce Now and their software. As for using ADP Workforce Now across departments, it works seamlessly. There are designated codes for departments so it is as easy as knowing the codes and plugging them in as needed.
There is so much you can do with this platform, it is incredible and so welcoming. We don't utilize it 100% yet just because we are growing and the HR team has not been able to concentrate on other areas offered to us but but we will soon. Which is also why we got the product, specifically because what BambooHR can do to help us meet our growing business needs.
Connection to benefit providers and the passage of data on a weekly basis is great, once the carriers are connected properly
Communication to the retirement provider was presented as immediate and we were led to believe communication and updates would be faster and smoother than we experienced with Paychex, and the communication is virtually the same. We have a much better employer rep with ADP retirement though, and for that, I have saved several hours over time.
