What is the planned use for the tool - high level information and direction or granular reporting to C-level? The tool struggles at times to provide granular reporting to meet the needs of C-level executives.

  • Very user-friendly and easy to understand even for those with not much knowledge
  • The interface is nice looking
  • Different charts are used to analyze different types of data

  • eCommerce Reporting - unlike GA, Digital Analytics has built in product and ecommerce reporting that is fairly advanced enough to answer most business questions around product performance, basket analysis, etc.
  • Marketing Attribution - Digital Analytics has out of the box marketing attribution capabilities including first, last and average click.
  • Ad Hoc Reporting - Through the Explore tool, nearly any business questions can be answered through a completely customized report set up functionality.

Cons

  • Pricing tiers other than free
  • More easily shareable charts to members of our teams who don't have logins
  • Not much else, the product is very sweet!

  • Should add more dimensions and or groups in Coremetrics explore reports as the 3 dimension limit is too small
  • Content section of website could be better structured for non-retail clients.
  • Help clients better understand the use of category hierarchies.

As reports are templated, the system is pretty quick. Sometimes you have to wait a bit for a report to render. Or you might have to re-load the page. But there is no real issue here and the system is on par with other similar systems.

Online training is really great. One of the best assets that they have. Lots of great videos, pop quizzes at the end of each module. Fantastic. Other tools have similar features, but not as good.

Alternatives Considered

A lot of data can be tracked via manual tracking or linking to an excel sheet, but with such a huge amount of data, it is far easier to have all of it laid out in an easy to read format. The charts and graphs are easy to use and are really pretty user-friendly. The hardest part is in simply finding the event that you want to use.

I feel that Google Analytics give you what you really need, without the hefty price tag. Along with giving you what you need, it is extremely more user friendly than IBM DA and can be easily learned by a multitude of people while still giving very significant information that will be useful in your reviews.
