CrowdCompass was the best part of Cvent each time I used it, from the ease of use to the customer service and handholding. I would recommend it for anyone using Cvent Event Management for an in-person event. I know Cvent just rolled out their virtual event hub though, so for virtual and hybrid events that are employing the Cvent family of tools, I would probably say CrowdCompass is unnecessary.

The system is great for registering for your event, including session add-ons, taxes, and more. It can manage different access and visibility to different sessions or prices based on the reg type. For smaller events, it is just too pricey and does not make sense to use.

The experience around virtual events if fantastic and the ON24 team is constantly improving the platform. If you want to run a virtual events programme where you want to generate leads and track engagement, then ON24 is the platform for you

  • The app to upload/edit push notifications was only available on iPhone so I had to have another team member handle that seems I have an android phone.
  • Emails (invites, etc.) often go to junk.

  • Emails - you can't pre-schedule emails, and it's very complicated to target a specific group.
  • Testing - You have to clear your cache in between testing, or go incognito mode. Makes for a very lengthy testing process. Wish you could just see live updates as you went!
  • Gameifcation in the App - I have not had the best luck with this section of the app. It doesn't ALWAYS work. They have some improvements to be made on that front.

  • There was a recent update within the past year where the UX designer or developer thought it would be best to wide all titles from the audience view until they placed their mouse on top of the window. That was the worst mistake, as we have a moderator script where we tell the audience what each of the tool bars are and they can’t grasp what the tool is without putting their mouse there. From an accessibility standpoint point, it’s back to 1999 when there was no laws about accessibility.
  • Number one above is a major pain point.
  • ON24 needs to do a better job of introducing features and soliciting feedback from their customers vs making a high impactful change like #1 described above.

ON24 is everything we expected and everything we needed. It's simple to use, extremely customizable, and scales very easily. The integration to our CRM makes ON24 major lead generator for our sales team from our established webinars series. We can automate lead delivery to our sales team as well. If anything, we will look to expand our partnership in the future.

It is very easy to use as everything is very intuitive. Configurating an app does not take too much time at the end, especially as soon as you already have done one as you can dupplicate the entire content. This is very practical when you use the app for annual events. Also few elements are not updatable once the app is published. Of course you can't change the entire design and the security settings which is a good thing anyway, but the entire content can be updated which allows you to publish your app quite early in advance to boost the engagement without having to wait to have everything in your hands (for instance the speakers bios or abstracts). Plus by adding more content regularly it encourage your audience to come back also regularly to check what is going on before the event.

The Cvent Event Management is very user friendly and intuitive. It's easy to use. Initially it's a bit of a learning curve because it is such a robust system with so many features. Whoever is using it really needs to take time and dig into it to learn the platform because if you go through it only on a surface level you can miss a lot of key features that can be beneficial to use.

97% of our attendees say it is the best trainings they have every attended. But they other 3% have a horrible experience (while watching the event live) interesting fact. On24 uses two different encoders for live vs OnDemand. I have never had issues with the On-Demand experience. My only complaints come during live events

Sometimes (it may be my computer) i cant login to ON24. I create a new PW and then i still cant get in. I clear cache/try new browser etc. and nothing works. I come back in a few hours and its like the problem never existed, its the strangest thing. Outside of that everything works pretty seamless. We've ran into a few bumps with Marketo talking to ON24 and passing reg through but have that figured out now. Not being able to be on a VPN when connecting to webcam on the presenter side does cause issues for our government speakers.

Once we paid for our apps, I felt like I was left to learn on my own. There are plenty of Help articles available, but no training sessions. I'm a visual learner and having to poke around and use trial and error to build the apps took way too much valuable time away from other parts of my job. It was frustrating and I brought it up with my CrowdCompass contact, but was told that they don't provide any training sessions and if I had questions I should refer to the Help articles or call support.

The customers success team is also really good and our rep is very helpful with all our questions. We have been with Cvent for over a decade and I shop around every time we come up for contract renewal just to see what's out there. From what I've seen, ON24 is built specifically to meet the needs of event marketing (or marketing generally), versus the other platforms which are more about simply providing a mechanism to hold virtual meetings. The integration with sales and marketing systems is really valuable. I don't know about pricing differences, but if the competitors were comparable, I would still select ON24.

There are multiple people across our organisation who use CVENT Event Management. They do only use the simple features and thats mainly for registrations, but the simplicity of being able to duplicate events makes life easier for those members.   • We get a lot of MQLs from our webinars. The integration with SFDC is a game changer over platforms that don't offer that integration.
  • The addition of emojis and chat to our event consoles has greatly increased our engagement.
  • We love marketing the fact that on-demand viewers can still submit questions and we'll answer them by email. Who else can say that?
  • We would like to be able to make changes to all console elements after events have taken place. Sometimes stuff just needs to be updated.
  • As we improve our audience segmentation, we are looking forward to the segment customization options that are now available on the console.
