ON24 is a webcasting, virtual events platform accessible from any device.
We evaluated ON24, and while their solution had a lot of good features, it did not encompass enough of the features Cvent Event Management offer to make it comparable. Cvent's support is also top in its league. Over the years, I have seen real growth in Cvent Event Management's …
There are no "one size fits all" event platforms, but Cvent was built for event management overall and accomodates most needs. The budget/spend is just a bit higher than other platforms on the market. It is an investment and long-term tool for organizations to have in their …
We had RegOnline before it was acquired by Cvent and it had so many less features. You could really only do registration with it and there was limited opportunity to customize the registration. It was difficult to set up and not user friendly. Once we made the switch our team …
The comprehensive solutions offered by Cvent Event Management were superior to the other solutions we evaluated. While some of them might have offered a few aspects of what we were looking for, Cvent offered enough to help us keep all aspects of the event with one vendor which …
ON24 has a nice interface and is very customizable. It's great if you are trying to do more than just 1 webinar at a time and are trying to do an online conference or series of events. The automatic recording and storage of the sessions is a real game changer.
ON24 is better at providing an all-in-one experience. The other products are easier to use on the backend and for speakers presenting. They're also more widely known so people are familiar with what to expect. If more people knew of ON24 events they would know to expect a …
Before I joined the company I know they used a couple of other webcast companies and the overall feelings are that ON24 is the best. I personally only have experience with ON24.
We used to use Webex, but with On24's 'simulated live events' it has really helped us scale and be available when our customers are most likely to attend. Others did not have the same level of support or the cost was higher.
ON24 has better branding opportunities, and other features to provide our clients with additional information and knowledge. The reporting in ON24 is also much nicer and easier to export.
Research was completed on other webinar platforms that I cannot recall at this time. ON24 simplified our ability to offer CPD and reduced man-hours in managing certification. It satisfied the customer by providing streaming. It reduced time in managing the on-demand webinar …
Cvent Event Management works great for events for which we need to collect registration fees. If you have a large-scale event that requires complex registration/data collection, and payment processing, Cvent Event Management is the best solution out there! It is comprehensive, can handle complex, multi-step registration forms, and has features for customizable and branded accompanying website and marketing opportunities (social media, event emails, etc). It is a one-stop-shop for creation and promotion of an event. That said, for "free" events, because there is an associated cost per registrant, it makes more sense for us to use another platform (we use Eventbrite, GoogleForm, or WordPress Gravity Forms) to collect RSVPs. The cost-oer-registrant is outlined upon contracting (and can vary based on the terms of your contract), but it is a fixed cost, rather than a percentage of the overall fees. Again, depending on the cost of your program for a participant, this can either be a good thing or something that would persuade you to use another system in that scenario.
ON24 allowed us to present on-demand or live webinars. Additionally, we could pre-record content and set it up as simu-live which allowed us to more easily interact with the audience's questions. There was also a Sim-2-live feature, which allowed you to play pre-recorded content and would then move you to live audio to give you the opportunity to take questions live. This piece did not allow for us to turn on video so we could be more personable with our audience. This is great if you want a panel discussion, set up a produced video slide presentation, or simply use slides. We only had the webcast elite version, which did not allow us to turn on a feature to allow for our audience to participate vocally. We had to encourage audience members to use the live audience chat which everyone in the audience could see, or share comments questions via the Q&A.
Engagement tools like Q&A, Resource List, and Speaker Bios allow the opportunity for attendees to connect with speakers, access more information, and get real-time answers to their questions. The features are very easy to use.
The ability to have multiple presenters in control of the webinar is a great feature. No more "passing the ball" or controls between presenters or needing to hear a presenter say "next slide" each time they want to advance their presentation.
ON24 allows users to seamlessly show slides, video clips and screen shares.
Allowing more in depth paths for registration questions (i.e. drill-down questions as needed)
Hotel widget does not model in a user-friendly way, allowing for customer confusion and cumbersome work-arounds
Flex Email customization widgets need to integrate into the emails more smoothly and be able to customize to have the same look, feel, font of the written text. At this time it does not allow for the same level of customization.
We always have issues with the leaderboard in virtual conference manager not showing results in real-time (complaint from attendees)
Doesn't always work with CRMs to transfer reg into virtual conference manager - has been an ongoing issue the IT team at ON24 can't figure out with our account
We are very pleased with the features that Cvent gives us. The ease of use and the immediate support when something does stump us. Cvent provides us with everything that we need to run a successful event. The only reason I did not Rate Cvent as a 10 is the cost
ON24 is everything we expected and everything we needed. It's simple to use, extremely customizable, and scales very easily. The integration to our CRM makes ON24 major lead generator for our sales team from our established webinars series. We can automate lead delivery to our sales team as well. If anything, we will look to expand our partnership in the future.
Overall, Cvent Event Management is a highly usable platform, with a user-friendly interface and a wide range of features and tools to help plan, promote, and manage events. The platform is designed to be intuitive, allowing users to easily navigate and access the various features and functionalities. One of the key benefits of Cvent Event Management's usability is its high level of customization. The platform offers a range of customization options, allowing users to tailor the platform to their specific needs and branding. This can include custom registration forms, event websites, email communications, and more. Additionally, Cvent Event Management provides robust data analytics and reporting, enabling users to gain insights into attendee behavior, event performance, and ROI. The platform also offers real-time reporting, which can be particularly useful during an event, allowing organizers to monitor attendance and event progress. While there may be a learning curve for some of the more advanced features, overall, the platform is highly usable and intuitive and we have had positive experiences with the platform's usability, citing its ease of use, customization options, and comprehensive feature set as key benefits.
97% of our attendees say it is the best trainings they have every attended. But they other 3% have a horrible experience (while watching the event live) interesting fact. On24 uses two different encoders for live vs OnDemand. I have never had issues with the On-Demand experience. My only complaints come during live events
Cvent does go down pretty frequently. And while it often doesn't impact day to day use usually, if it does go down at the wrong time, you may not be able to access very important event information when you need it. Usually outages do not last very long, but it could still be a very bad situation if this happens at the wrong moment
ON24 is always available when I have a question about a new feature, if I'm having issues during a live webinar, or if I'm having issues with a webinar on the backend. Our client support specialist, Heather Haines, has always been incredibly consistent with getting me the answers I need when I need them.
Loading depends on how large the files in the webinar for us - sometimes it takes up to an hour to upload and that impacts the loading when the webcast is playing. Overall I'm happy with the performance, however if integrated with other systems it does tend to slow down the process
I have very rarely needed support, but when I did, it seemed that there was an underlying push for a webinar, training session, or multiple phone calls. If I have a question or a need, that should be addressed nothing else.
ON24 support is really good with the 24/5 support chat line, where someone actually responds within 30 seconds. The customers success team is also really good and our rep is very helpful with all our questions. Whenever we have more technical questions, she will bring on a IT designer or a tech specialist on our calls for additional comments and help.
Our on-site trainer was very knowledgeable in the product and gave us very important pointers on best practices and how to perform tasks in the simplest manner
On24 has amazing ON-Demand trainings that you can use at anytime and they walk you through step by step on different topics/ they are always updating and innovating and putting out new trainings. I would highly reccomend the trainings and reading the documents they have created. They also do live webinars on a rolling basis that are filled with so much knowledge and Information
It would have been nice during implementation if we had received more pointers on how to organize our parked report folders, libraries, etc. to avoid the mess we find ourselves in today. If we had known ahead of time the limitations we could have planned better.
We had a few training's, which were broken up, and focused on specific areas of how to use the platform. Mostly though, a lot of it is just dedicating your time to learning and exploring what the possibilities are for enhancing your webinars
Our existing relationship with [Cvent Event Management] led us to stick with them when it came time to choose a virtual platform, and it certainly delivered and showed that it had the capability to be the polished, yet simple, platform that resonated best with our audience. The new virtual offering was still going through some growing pains when we used it, but it has the potential to be a major competitor in the virtual event space, and they're already well established in the in-person event management space.
We moved from GoTo Webinar around 3 years ago and at the time it was a tool that served the purpose of webinars but it didn't have a deep level of functionality or customisation which we were looking to grow into. ON24 has widgets and screens you can interact with as well as allowing all presenters to enter the presenter view and share the same set of controls without being clunky and having to change presenters and screenshare separate slide decks etc. ON24 also has the Simulive feature which allows us to record events and play them back as if they are live which we really like.
Overall, it meets our needs and we are able to do everything we need to do. However, I would not describe the tool as extremely flexible from a branding, design, capability standpoint when thinking about the level of customization allowed for the audience dashboard, although the engagement tools are nice the set up of each is quite rigid
ON24 has allowed us to deliver meaningful pitches, promotions, and seminars to clients/audience members all year round, remotely.
The reporting available to us through the ON24 platform allows us to assess and review what is working and what needs adjusting with our events. This is valuable to us.
Using the tools available, we've doubled our audience engagement in the last 12 months, and this has allowed us to generate leads at a later stage of the "funnel."
