AVI-SPL

We feel like AVI-SPL is not as strong now that they are no longer just AVI. Communication, assistance, recommendations, overall quality is jut not what our company expects and needs.

AVI-SPL is well suited for those needing audio video equipment for multiple rooms and for venues where many people need to be able to hear and participate in meetings. Smaller venues where microphones and advanced AV equipment would be unnecessary or overkill probably would see less benefits when considering the overall cost.

AVI-SPL is ideal for a project that requires specific attention to detail. They are able to provide product and support vs. just delivering a boxed product. AVI-SPL may not be a bottom dollar solution provider, but they offer the support and knowledge that are required to provide our customers with topnotch solutions. The expertise that they provide is key and has helped us secure many complex projects.

AVI-SPL has installed several conference room systems of various sizes. I would recommend them for any project.

AVI-SPL does very nice design and installation work. I believe that they come up with innovative solutions. I understand how hard it is to do a nice project on a limited budget but it would be nice to see more options for designs saving money. Our departments and managers always want nice solutions (as everyone does), but don't always have a big enough budget.

At this time I can only tell you the negative as I have tried both in my current employer and at a previous employer to give AVI-SPL many chances to redeem themselves but have not once succeeded.

AVI-SPL is excellent for office environment AV system design and implementation. They work well at creating multiple scenarios to manage budgets.

If you work in education, their products are wonderful. You will not be disappointed in using their products.

Overall, AVI-SPL is great at what they do. Strong vendor network to assess solutions and provide information. They're lacking in the small details that other integrators are doing a better job of managing. In a multi-office environment in many different parts of the country, there could be more consistency with end user experience.

Well suited to help a small to medium-sized business/office implement conference call system/cameras as well as full AV systems throughout your office.

For the more basic issues they do a good job correcting them. In my experience, for some of the more complex problems, it seems like they dont have enough tier 2 techs/engineers available to help troubleshoot with the techs that are at the site. In my experience the techs come on site and dont really know what the solution was at the end of the day. Seems like a lot of rebooting the system many times to finally get the system back up and running (temporarily). Our system may be different then others but that should hinder the support we get from AVI. I believe that our set up may be different than what they are used to seeing and it seems like it takes them all day to fix the issues and when asked what the fix is there isnt a whole lot that they point to. Again most of the time it is rebooting the devices and checking the Biamp. In my experience, I recall a time where they said "out engineering cant connect to the server we have (this is their equipment) The tech ended up giving up with the engineer who was trying to connect up to their system that is on site and there was no follow up regarding that connection that could not be made. I would have expected them to troubleshoot further but it takes them all day to get the rooms back in order since they aren't sure what is the issue I believe and then they don't want to troubleshoot the connectivity issue with the engineer after because it took so long to correct the original problem in my opinion.

We've gone through a few other A/V support organizations over the years. Our growth and needs have greatly changed. Prior A/V partners proved to be severely lacking in capability. It felt like playing whack a mole with snuffing out issue after issue rather than addressing the root cause of issues. Since working with AVI SPL, the number of issues we've faced have dropped immensely.

AVI is good for multi-projects with a national footprint. As one of many parts of a new construction project, it is very helpful to make one call and know it will get done correctly. They can be a bit more expensive, but you generally get what you pay for and I appreciate their consistency and ease to work with.

When we have an issue for AV system, AVI-SPL resolve the issue very quickly. On the other hand, when I place an order for an project, due to the labor limitation, we needed to wait for several weeks to complete it.

If we have equipment that fails sometimes it takes too long to have new equipment ordered and installed by AVI-SPL. Our conference rooms are a priority and sometimes it takes a month from time an issue is reported to when it fixed to have resolution. I think adding techs and planning would help. Basically we need better turn around time on issues

I have worked with Greg M. for years and Greg and his team have always provided exemplary service in whatever was asked of them. I can't think of any other team in the industry that I've worked with who provide better and more consistent customer service than the team we work with at AVI-SPL.

Kerry and Brian are the two folks in the service department with whom we've experienced the highest consistency and most success.

I only use AVI-SPL for box sales. My team installs the equipment. They are well suited for this. They frequently provide the best pricing.

AVI-SPL does a great job when our conference rooms break and malfunction. I feel like their response time and attention to detail on the service of our rooms is great.

AVI-SPL seems to not prioritize smaller/express projects and the transition from ADTECH systems to AVISPL was slow and clunky. Project timelines were dramatically longer than they should have been.

Consistency of project delivery always provides confidence in getting the job done.
