Chartio is a cloud-based data exploration and visualization tool. The vendor’s value proposition is that with their solution, there is no need to build a data model in advance, thus allowing for more agility and ease of manipulation. is our real MVPWe use Chartio as our business dashboard for the leadership team. All critical aspects of the company performance are dashboarded by department for all leadership to coordinate on KPIs. Previously, we would have ad hoc reports from different line of business software applications that may or may not have been inclusive of all the metrics and only the metrics we cared about. Chartio gives us one place to go to measure the company.,Drag and drop interface Comprehensive options for data sources Excellent support response Beautiful chart designs make At-A-Glance measurement possible,Minor interface issues on building and arranging dashboards. Chartio is a very agile tool where I can easily build the report I want. It's easy to load data from both offline and online sales. I would say that this is the number one BI tool compared to other BI tools I've used.,Intuitive for reporting and analysing on the fly. Can perform calculations in tables and in the data cells instead of pre-processing the data elsewhere and not only using the Chartio tool as a tool for viewing data. Not passive but active reporting and analysing which makes the tool a good core tool in any corporate BI suite. Chartio has a lot of usable diagrams for viewing data from new perspectives which makes our business decisions much wiser than they would be otherwise. With Chartio it's easier to have the right data at the right time for the best possible business outcome.,If you have connected to a simple MYSQL-database which has a limited amount of requests, perhaps be able to send the database requests in sql instead of all of them at the same time. Especially if you have a dashboard build with a lot of single number KPIs.,9,,9,50%,8,7,9Easy For MetricsMy department uses Chartio to display performance metrics. This has led to employees seeing that the time and effort they are putting in is showing for something. How easy it is to display charts and metrics has made it much easier to show employees immediately what their progress is compared to their co-workers but also over a period of time. As a manager it has made it very easy for me to understand my employees' productivity as well as identify quickly areas where we have needed to address improvement.,Very simple to set up charts Automatic Updating Clear Metrics,Layout sometimes can be convoluted Sometimes there is a learning curve,10,none,9,Company wide, Chartio is used by at least 30 members.,8,10,,,Metrics Reporting Charts Displaying Metrics Compiling,To cut down metrics requests Displaying Metrics on a large screen Easy to read charts,Can't think of any at the moment Can't think of any at the moment Can't think of any at the moment,Chart Metrics,Learning the process of setting up charts,9Getting chartty with ChartioChartio is used in the technology department as an analysis tool for our product. It's a great way to make SQL pretty, and great for team dashboards and goal tracking on the wall monitors. Also, the Chartio support team has been very helpful and new features are frequently rolled out. I use it primarily for productivity tracking of off-site team. For alerting suspicious activity by online customers. And we have an wall display of KPIs across all businesses being managed, and milestones to celebrate.,Easy to get started Great customer support Frequent new features,Better arrangement of charts within a dashboard,9,,9,Half the employees use it.,9,9,Don't know,9,9,9

Lots of issues with touch targeting being off on mobile (iPhone 6) in safari and chrome. Dashboard and nav drop downs aren't usable. Can't arrange charts on mobile.

While I like the flexibility of Chartio, there are some basic UI functions that don't exist, such as being able to see the entire name of a data field when building a chart, not easy to move things around or replace a measurement with another even when you're filtering the exact same. I like Chartio, it's just some times cumbersome when it feels like I'm not doing anything too fancy.

I really like using Chartio. I use it on a daily basis for pulling data from different sources and combining data (the explore tab was a great idea for this use). I think I would give it 8/10 because there needs to be more documentation or maybe blog posts about things people are doing with it. I only have my own ideas about what to do /how to graph things. I know there are some articles, but it would be awesome to have a section on the neat dashboards people are building or how they show data in different ways.
Another complaint is how much time it takes to load. I know our databases aren't set up precisely for Chartio and I have been creating data stores. But the data stores have so many more limitations that adds a whole new layer of frustration.
Love the product, keep up the good work and the fast fixes.
