Really easy to make multiple updates to the SOW and keep track of those revisions.,Formatting is weak. Sometimes the UX for bold, underline, etc. do not work well. Copy and paste functionality can be buggy at times. At times, we have a difficulties with the connection between SFDC and the tool, and sometimes the SOW does not appear in the opportunity record in SFDC. Takes a while to get it looking good in terms of a final SOW. We use it to generate statements of work (SOWs) during the final stage of our sales process. It offers a consistent look at our contracts. It is used by our entire organization.   • Offers to track. You can view all the pages someone looks at. This helpful when determining when the project will close.

It works or our organization. For an organization with a much larger product sales scope, I could see it being clunky to format every single time. I have used other tools in the past like SFDC CPQ. Octiv seems, to me, to be the same thing. Web based proposal tool that offers to track, and e-signing. It seems to work for us.

  • I appreciate the flexible options for adding branded art, content, and pages to proposals, which helps to customize without spending hours doing so.
  • Managing the sales proposal through the cloud eliminates the need for re-sending proposal files each time it needs updating.
  • Electronic acceptance of sales proposal cuts down on administrative time.
  • The editing tool which runs the platform is not very user-friendly, so sometimes it's frustrating to make custom wording or formatting changes to a proposal.
Octiv is particularly useful in situations where your key solutions can be boiler plated while still adding some room for customization. If your proposals need to be completely custom for every client, you likely will be frustrated with the editing interface.

We integrate Octive with Salesforce to create, send and accept proposals. It has been very helpful in the past for keeping track of clients and contracts, etc. though the latest update has been very buggy and difficult to use.

It's currently in beta mode at our company. We've tried rolling it out to everyone but there's a lot of confusion/backend fixes that are need to be made.
  • It removes the need to send proposals/SOWs
  • It saves our team time
  • It allows us to keep track of where our customers are getting held up on certain pages.
  • Product knowledge. Everytime we get on the call with our rep, she never knows the answers to our questions and has to follow-up.
  • Service. We've found that many times our rep is unresponsive.
  • Customizing templates takes a lot of time and knowledge. They should create an easier way to have the platform easier to learn.
We've found that closing deals through Ocitv is very efficient and effective in saving our team time. A small team at our company has been using the beta version to display multiple quotes and proposals through our customized templates. The customization of templates allows multiple teams to leverage the software with little resistance from the client. We work with many legacy companies that still require a formal legal agreement.

  • Helps time saving in proposal creation which is a huge plus!
  • The editor is wonky and feels finicky. I am constantly having to push around the table of contents. Did you get rid of the hand burger bar?

Octiv is well suited for marketing, sales and client services departments. Generally it is a good software which more often that not helps save time. As I mention below, the editor and customization piece is cumbersome but I hope that functionality improves in time and keeps process and vice consistent. I think it less appropriate for organizations with custom services.

Being a boutique agency with a large social following, we get dozens of requests for proposals each month. The time it was taking us to create, edit and review these proposals was so time-consuming that it was impacting our ability to fulfill the engagements we already had. TinderBox has evolved into an incredible platform for us - we're now able to template our proposals with substitution strings for the client information. We're able to send and track the proposals. And we're able to redline them with customer feedback when necessary. Where it used to take hours, it now takes minutes to assemble and deliver a proposal that looks fantastic online. It provides a professional and sophisticated impression of our company - an absolute differentiator in our industry.
  • Simple to implement and use. If you're using Word to write proposals, distribute, redline and edit them... you're going to save time on the first proposal you write.
  • Impressive to our prospects. When we distribute our password-protected proposals, our prospects always comment on what a great experience it is.
  • A huge time-saver with its templating capabilities. We have standard engagements with our clients and we're able to control and update the messaging as needed, and still personalize it to each opportunity.
  • A company that listens and cares about their clients' usage. From day 1 at TinderBox, the team has been responsive to our needs.
  • Tracking and measurement show our success rates. We love the fact that we get notified when the prospect opens the proposal and that we can track our team's success.
  • Mobile and Tablet Applications would be great!
Very well suited for large corporations that are processing a lot of proposals. This platform can reflect your brand physically and ensure that the proposals your staff are distributing are accurate.

We used TinderBox to create client proposals which are elegant and beautiful.
TinderBox had provided a great platform. The users around me were able to send and track the proposals. It saved us lots of time and, of course, resulted in significant monetary value.

If your day to day life requires exchanging documents and other exchange within or outside the company, you should use it.
