  • The error message is vague ("Either you have withdrawn from this process or the deadline to complete this process has been reached") which one? You should know!
In my opinion, it is WELL-SUITED for companies with a priority focused on efficiencies, and you don't mind that candidate only interacts with bots. I feel it is LESS APPROPRIATE for hiring highly skilled workers who are also doing their own evaluation during the candidate review process about how valued they will be as employees. EXPLANATION: I was a candidate user, so my experience depends on the setup by the company that I applied. This "interview" experience is unique because, by default at least, there is no feedback about how my responses are received. In my case, the only "feedback" I received was a week later when I got an automated request to complete of a performance task. The task said I had 5 days to complete and it was an intensive task. There was not a specific due date/time shown. (Is it precisely five 24-hours days from receiving the initial email, from when I clicked, or when set up?). I did receive a separate brief email communication with a specific date, but no time zone was given. So after 5 evenings of working on it in separate programs to create the pdf, I went back to the site to submit it and got this error message: "You no longer have access to this page. Either you have withdrawn from this process or the deadline to complete this process has been reached." Shouldn't the program know that I hadn't withdrawn and when the deadline was? It was such a terrible experience to me that it has completely changed my perspective on the company I applied to.

We utilize the automated workflow and customer experience. All our jobs are customized to suit the client this is easy to do using the back-end system.

VidCruiter is used as our online interview platform. We use VidCruiter for our certificated applicants to complete a pre-recorded digital interview. This allows all applicants an opportunity for an interview at their own convenience and allows the administrators the ability to review their interviews at their own convenience as well. We have also recently implemented the use of the live interview function of VidCruiter. This has allowed us to continue hiring classified employees during the pandemic and work from home status. We still use live interview now for our positions even though we have returned to in-person.
  • The help chat is very quick to respond and take suggestions and assist until the problem is resolved.
  • The platform is very customizable. With emails you want to auto send to applicants.
  • There is no need to create a log in for users. From the administrators to the applicants, everything is easy to use and based on a clickable link.
  • Our HR department would like VidCruiter to have a texting function so we can use that as another point of communication.
  • The ability to select different lengths of time slots for live interviews.
VidCruiter is best suited for those that want to be paperless and go the digital route. VidCruiter gives the option to record the live interviews so they remain on the platform if we ever need to go back to review. In my opinion there is not a scenario where this is not appropriate, because if you don't see a function of interest, VidCruiter will consider creating it or figure a way to make it happen for you.

We currently use VidCruiter as a function of our hiring process. We work with clients for C-suite positions and use the tool to be able to create questions for video responses. It has allowed our candidates the ability to be more involved in the application process and create a video experience of the candidates for our clients. It solves candidate engagement earlier in the hiring process allowing candidates to see how interested we are in them and their overall skill set.

Our organization uses Vidcruiter by the Staffing and HR team as an ATS. We use it to hire over 800 seasonal associates and about 15 full-time associates every year. Our organization has 5 users that interact with Vidcruiter on a daily basis. It helps us to keep track of our applicants in an organized way.

  • Able to run reports on many fields within Vidcruiter
  • Can conduct video interviews within the system
  • Wish there was even a better way to build reports within. Not every category is reportable.
It is great as an ATS if you have more than one application type, we have multiple, so you can easily switch from one application to the next. We can use pre-recorded questions and can conduct live video interviews right in the system. It can auto-send emails and communication based on your needs. The one issue we have is running reports to keep track of how many applicants we get per month as they go through the particular stages, to keep track of KPIs of our recruiting team. Wish there was a better way to do this.

We are using Vidcruiter across the Talent Recruitment department to initially screen candidates in consideration for roles. Some external departments to talent also use it when they are looking to hire staff and our department sets them up with a Vidcruiter interview to screen candidates.

  • The integration to our ATS was a little slow (and still not up yet although I think the last stretch is on our end)
Vidcruiter is great for initial screening purposes. I love that we can use it as a tool to initially screen candidates and determine what next steps would be best in the process but don't have to commit to doing a phone call or more. We can watch the videos on our own time and then make decisions. I would say it is less appropriate after you've engaged with the candidates (such as a phone call or in-person interview) and then have them do some kind of video interaction (but that's a preference and thinking about candidate experience)

We are utilizing VidCruiter to screen applicants to cut down on the face-to-face interviews of candidates that would not be a good fit for our organization. VidCruiter allows hiring managers a glimpse into a potential candidate before inviting them in for a more thorough vetting process. By using VidCruiter, our hiring managers have saved precious time!

We have created long-standing positions within VidCruiter so that all of the legwork is done initially. If we need to tweak something, that's easily done. VidCruiter can be used more like an ATS, but we are only utilizing it as a link-based video interview. What this means is we send a link to an applicant who then clicks on it once invited. The option exists for applicants to post the link to a particular job, but with our ATS, the link-based method was the best way to go.

We are using the VidCruiter tool to perform video interviews with our candidates across the whole organization. It helps us a lot with connecting our hiring managers with candidates in virtual reality. Thanks to the tool we manage to improve our recruitment process and simplify it and reduce the impact of the COVID19 pandemic on our recruitment process.

It offers a chance to simplify and save a lot of time with setting up the initial interview, especially if you tend to ask similar questions to all candidates in the first interview to assess who will be invited to the next step.

VidCruiter is currently used to hire 80-100 seasonal outdoor education instructors for our 3-4 month spring and fall seasons. Later we will add other seasonal and full time positions (we are still on our first season). As the director of operations, I have set it up, maintain it and am the main person using it for hiring on a daily basis. Other managers review and rate the candidates and sit in on interviews. Previously we had our own homemade system that was entirely manual. VidCruiter really helps with keeping everything in one place and easily organized for applicants and HR staff.
  • VidCruiter is my first Applicant Tracking System but it was still relatively easy to set up exactly to our needs and there was lots of support over email and the phone / internet meetings during the setup and after. It is easy to use and update too, no coding ability needed.
  • The integrated video and live interviews are unique to VidCruiter and why we chose it over competing products. They are easy to setup and use and provide the HR staff with a much more personal feeling for who the applicants are.
  • The auto rating of the applicants and their references along with the easy rating of applicant video interviews and any other data entered sorts applicants after what abilities are important to your company and makes it easy to start with the most suited candidates and work your way down.
  • As there are constant ongoing improvements and development done to make it as good as possible and to incorporate the clients specific needs, some functions may not be well documented. The very responsive support staff make up for this though through email and phone follow up whenever needed.
  • Some functions may not be supported but the development team is very responsive in working on developing solutions for the clients specific needs, which may later benefit other customers too.
Video and live interviews built into the software has enabled us to have a more personal understanding of who the applicants are. Many of our applicants are out and about and only have internet access on an infrequent basis. The software and setup is flexible enough that we can meet their special needs also. The continued development and very responsive customer support means that we have been able to find satisfactory solutions to all our particular needs.

We used VidCruiter to help us recruit, and manage over 300 volunteers. In the 2013 Canadian Track and Field Championships, I came into the role of Volunteer Chair at a late date and all the processes were on paper. It became clear very quickly that an online method would save time in the application process, and improve communications with the volunteers throughout the whole process.
  • VidCruiter grasped what it was that we needed and wanted to understand how their product could improve the experience of the applicants and volunteers.
  • We had people with various experience with technology on the planning team, and Remi's patience and professionalism with everyone involved meant that we could all get behind this new process. We also increased our volunteer roll from the previous year, and saved a lot of time so that we could focus on the event and less on the volunteer tracking process.
  • Their service orientation is very strong. I never once felt that we were falling behind and could always get in touch with VidCruiter when needed.
  • This was my first time developing something like this with a company like VidCruiter and was very satisfied with the process.
The product we developed was very useful for our purposes. Had we known what this product could do, and with enough time, we may have explored different application methods for different types of volunteers.
