Overall Satisfaction

We used to use Confirmit for all of our surveys, both client related and internal, but at this point we only use it for one survey. Confirmit allows for a level of complexity that our other survey system does not allow, however, we are trying to move away from it because of its extreme pricing model.
  • Skip Logic: It is extremely easy to visualize how a respondent will go through a survey.
  • Question Reorganization: The drag and drop functionality of the tree structure is amazingly easy to use.
  • Variable naming: Many systems do now allow you to name the variables being exported, Confirmit does.
  • Preloading respondent data: super easy, makes you feel more confident the data is being loaded correctly.
  • Resizing questions can be a bit difficult.
  • Its very hard to customize some of the question, especially the specialty ones, like the slider bars.
  • Complex skip logic can be overwhelming for those who aren't programmers. The statements for skip logic are very programmatic.
  • The default themes are very old looking, they could definitely use an update.
  • There is very limited selection when using the mobile functionality in a survey.
  • Confirmit is a hard product to keep because of its pricing. If you are going to collect a significant amount of data (25,000+ responses) be prepared to pay a pretty penny for their service.
  • Their self hosting option is great for security and peace of mind, but is priced too high for a product that is being housed on your own servers.
  • Out of the survey systems I have designed with, Confirmit was probably the fastest to program complex surveys in out of all of them.
  • Vovici,Qualtrics,Survey Monkey
Confirmit is the best overall functionality-wise. The other systems require custom scripting to do a lot of the things Confirmit does natively. Unfortunately, for my company, the cost of Confirmit was not worth the native functionality. All of these other systems are significantly cheaper, and with the exception of Survey Monkey, they can do pretty much all of the same things with use of custom scripting. Qualtrics is definitely a strong alternative, but also significantly more expensive than Vovici, which my company uses mostly now.
Only real reason we will be renewing Confirmit is because we have one complex survey that I have not been able to replicate in any other system. Otherwise, we would save a lot of money by switching over to Vovici or Qualtrics completely. If money were not an issue, we would probably program everything in Confirmit.
Its probably the best overall survey system I've used. It allows for the most functionality with minimal effort out of Vovici, Qualtrics, and SurveyMonkey. If you have a boat load of money to spend and not very technical people, Confirmit is for you. However, their pricing is a bit ridiculous, especially if you want to host it yourself.

Product Usage

1 - I am the only one at my company that uses Confirmit. I am the IT guy and I use this for one of our tracking surveys.
1 - You really need an understanding of Javascript and skip logic to support Confirmit.
  • None really, it works as expected.
