Overall Satisfaction with 8x8 Virtual Office

The whole company uses VO and have been with 8x8 since 2013. In the main it is just desk phones and the desktop app for day to day business use. The mobile app has been used a bit but we don't have any mobile workers. As a manufacturing company we need to be accessible to our customers and it does the job.
  • It generally works well, I have no experience of other UCaaS products so can't say how it compares. Having VOIP phones is a hassle-free method and makes life easier for IT. It was easy to set up and maintenance is minimal.
  • It would be good on the desktop app if you could see all extensions without scrolling, I understand that would be an issue for large companies, but a different layout may be better.
  • After the initial outlay the fixed monthly costs make it easy to budget and manage. It's virtually maintenance-free and works pretty much all the time, which is vital in a business setting. We had one major outage a year or so ago but other than that it works all the time.
I looked at a couple of other products but 8x8 seemed to be the best fit with our company.
I think it is suitable for any business environment as it is simple and cost effective.
