Overall Satisfaction with Acumatica
We use this product in many different areas. Firstly, we use it for POS transactions projects. We also use it for our retail arm at our gas stations. We use it also for financial statements and the consolidation of companies. So one of the problems we were faced with before Acumatica was helping financials readily available with Amar. That allowed us to have real-time data to make real-time decisions. Also, we use Acumatica for our customers. We want to ensure that the pricing that we are giving each of our customers our profitable decisions that we are making on our side and not losing on transactions.
Pros
- I think for sure purchase orders are very simple to use. We get our quote, add a quote to the system, put the PO in the workflows, goes straight to your supervisor or manager. They approve that email is then sent to the vendors and our product is delivered.
Cons
- I think the room for improvement would be customizations. As you know, most customizations are not done by the ISVs and we have to customize the software to work with the third-party software. And sometimes that could present a challenge.
- Well, it's the only positive. It's caused us to be able to put our financials out in time as we are a publicly traded company in The Bahamas and we needed our financials in a very short period of time and Acumatica has done that for us.

It helped us because they have everything integrated into the system. We were able to send out quotes very quickly and invoice more efficiently. We saw positive remarks from our customers because now they're able to complete their financials on time based on the last system where we would've to do everything manually. Everything is automated in the Acumatic system.
I guess in our industry it is oil and gas and distribution as well as power generation. It helps us to keep track of all of our transactions, right? And that's key to a retail business and distribution because every penny counts and we look at margins. Our system allows us to ensure that we have the right margins all the time. And if not, we are actually notified that hey, this customer isn't charged the right margins for our company solution. So I think that alone allows us to favor the Acumatica product.
The products that we would've used are now obsolete. But I've also used Zoho Books. It's simple for smaller businesses. When you get to this level, Acumatica would be the way to go.

3 - Supporting Acumatica ERP requires a mix of skill sets in technical, functional, and business areas. We start off with System admins who are basically will setup the software with your VAR. Then we have our FInance and Business persons who would describe how they would want the system to flow.
